Been a Bama fan since about 1984 and this year’s team is VERY good, but OSU really opened my eyes against Clemson the other night. I hope they peaked that night lol. But I’m hoping for a great game either way. RTR

They did peak that game meant more to them then the championship. That's what they worked all off season. I doubt they play on that level. I think they play close to it, but ohio state put everything they had into that game you could tell how important it was.

I don't understand why the decline has been allowed to continue, but that's where we are. The good news is I don't believe Fields can have two great games in a row.

I was shocked to learn during the Sarkisian interview with Texas officials that the football program is not funded by the school but rather the boosters. School officials after their bowl win stated to the media that Tom Herman was their coach for next season. On the other hand the boosters were not satisfied with his performance so he was fired. I am so glad that Coach Saban, the AD and President of the university make the decisions without boosters getting involved. That could turn any problem into a dumpster fire.

It's only reasonable for Heisman to hold Trevor Lawrence missing games against him when Dabo used missing games as his rationale for ranking Ohio State 11th and saying he only considered teams that played 9 games minimum (coincidentally, the number Lawrence played in through the ACC championship) for his top 10.

Right now, the Alabama Offense is more than good enough/capable to give other teams fits,.
The real point is to acknowledge when you add someone like Waddle back into the game plan, you just provide a much larger target rich environment for Sark & Mac Jones to operate within. I believe in a couple of betting sights have adjusted their point spreads a point or two reflecting what Waddle's playing would add to Alabama's potential.

Trevor Lawrence is losing votes because he missed games ? ... no TL loses votes because he's 13th in QB RTG, 13th in YPA and 10th in Completion %. Last year he had a QB RTG of 166.7 while Tua (206.9), Burrow (202), Hurts (191.2) and Fields (181.4) finished 1, 2, 3, 4 ... 11th in YPA and 10th in completion %.
Najee and Devonta came back this year and benefited greatly from doing so as they earned a far better payday. I could see Waddle coming back for the same reason, and a small chance that Mac will too .. he is still eligible even tho he's graduated.

Florida and auburn blownout in bowl games Georgia and Miss st literally in dogfights with teams who've NEVER had a top 100 recruiting class A&M playing a Carolina team that had only one offensive skill position player playing and couldn't get away till the end of the 4th and i wont talk about that SEC championship game... Playing Notre Dame was a negative too. .. They just don't have it never did they've never recruited on this level Alabama was up 21-6. Six min left in the 3rd OSU ALREADY ended their game by half-time and this was against an opponent that was on their level.. Everybody keeps talking about what OSU has to deal with but has Alabama had to deal with a QB of Fields or lawrence level?.. This ia a complete team it'll be a problem
OSU is nowhere near complete. Their secondary is beyond suspect. Also Justin Fields has only really showed up in one game. That was against Clemson. He looked like trash against Indiana and Northwestern. With that being said, Justin Fields is still an amazing athlete. I don't see him being as dynamic in Championship game though. I don't think his ribs will be fully healed. I will agree the SEC had a down year, but every conference was down this year with all the opt outs... I expected Auburn and FL to lose their bowl games. Auburn is trash and FL had their top 4 receivers opt out. I think FL would have looked totally different if Kyle Pitts had played...I believe it will be a good game. OSU does present some match up problems. But the Alabama offense presents numerous match up problems for OSU as well.

It’s not just about 2014. Ohio State, historically, is a program that has excelled when they get counted out and doubted. The 2002 BCS Natty vs. Miami, the entire 2014 CFP run, the 2018 game vs. Michigan, and this past game against Clemson are just a few examples.
As an OSU fan, I’m not saying that we’ll absolutely win for certain. I think it will be a great game. All I’m saying is: Don’t make the mistake of counting us out.

True. Oklahoma beat us in 2015. Bama came back and beat them in 2019. Clemson beat us in 2017. Bama came back and beat them the next year. Auburn and LSU beat Bama last year and Bama destroyed them both this year. The same thing happening for Ohio State isn't out of reach. That 2015 Bama squad will be avenged.

Devonta Smith is nothing like Keyshawn as a comp. Key was alot bigger and more physical then Devonta. I think Devonta is a slightly quicker and a smoother route runner.

ESPN produces the SEC Network for the SEC, and do the same for the ACC by producing the ACC Network.....now do you get why eSECpn loves and hypes the SEC; its in their best business interests. I was thinking the same thing when I heard about it, and its possible waddle might play now but if that game gets pushed to the end of the month then waddles return is a near certainty and will make bama much more dangerous on offense and we're scary enough as it is so idk if OSU is really doing themselves any favors if they are using the covid card to buy time to heal.

If Waddle is ready to play, UA's trio of receivers (JW+JM+DS) is the worst scenario for the OSU secondary. Who do you double-cover? Drop 8 in coverage to avoid explosive plays and force the run? Those plans have been unsuccessful vs UA's offense.
I hope Fields is 100% healthy. If he is not, OSU could find itself playing catch-up on offense Monday night.
Buckeyes will win with/without Waddle as they win the battle in the trenches. Jones, like Lawrence learned, cannot throw while on his back. St Nick is just giving OSU something to think about.
The same goes for Justin Fields and his bruised ribs. He can't throw If he is on his back or in the medical tent. Which ever team wins the war in the trenches will win the game.
