The last 20 years look up National Championships and guys in the league. Don't get me wrong Notre Dame is a great school, but so far as football they need to give it up.

Exactly! No one plays defense like teams in the past because offenses are just that good. They continue to pick on Bama's defense against Florida but fail to point out that statistically Florida has the best offense in the country.

@@p2wizy930 If you would read where I said "statistically", go look it up and with four of their best receivers out including their unstoppable tight-end, Kyle Pitts they're obviously going to lose significant production.

@@sithlord7530 thank you finally someone with some sense. Brian Kelly's recruiting is heavily stunted by high academic standards. Most schools want an athlete first and a academic second. It's the other way around at Notre Dame. Unfortunately a lot of the top tier talent wouldn't meet the academic standards thats why Kelly is a better coach then people give him credit for. To at least "somewhat" compete with the big name schools year in and out is a huge accomplishment giving all the obstacles he faces with recruiting.

@@marinevet4131 soooooooo... With an average recruiting class of Top 10 in the country for the last 10 years, his hands are tied by Academic Standards? I think people need to really stop making excuses for Brian Kelly and really analyze what he has done. Every big game that we are in, we get destroyed and don't compete period. Other coaches have done more with lesser talent. Nick Saban would do much better and would have a totally different culture in South Bend. Many Notre Dame FANS look at us from a bias perspective, that's the reason for them settling for what we are getting.

@@sithlord7530 Even without the standards Kelly doesn't match up to some other coaches. He gets outcoached often and is the reason ND doesn't do better in bowl games.

Florida had most of their starters opt out of the bowl game against Oklahoma. Florida was just a bare bone team compared to what Alabama faced a few days ago in the SEC Championship.

Also a few times we shot ourselves in the foot or that one fumble that was literally out of the players hand and they called that a no fumble which led to a TD for Florida.

I dont think we win or even compete to be honest, but I'd love to knock the sec off there lil perch and show them some bend pride.

I just think that if the playoffs were designed to have unbeaten “top tier schools (Boise, Utah, etc teams of the BCS era) “ compete for a championship, then that’s what it should be. This Notre dame, 1 loss outcome has NOT been successful since the playoffs started. Would just be cool and deserving to the other teams if that’s what the playoffs are meant for. If not, then go back the the BCS days.

Florida was overrated and Kyle Trash was playing like it

@@quintonchapman1776 4 of the top pass catchers were out on florida. Kyle pits was not there and he's one of the best players in college football. Kyle was totally off because he was not use to the timing of the new WRs he was throwing to. If my team had beat florida in a bowl game I wouldn't have been impressed because florida only had 60 scholarship players. Alabama would have destroyed that florida team that Oklahoma played.
