Big LSU fan, but got a lot of respect for Saban. He never talks about winning. Uses words like execution, and discipline, his players need to do to be successful. Great lesson really for not just college football, but sports in general, one’s profession in life, etc.
I am a massive Alabama fan but its nice to hear praise coming from another team's fan base. Especially a great program like LSU has. Most of our fan base has great respect for LSU and the tradition they have and are looking forward to this match-up. Coach O is doing an outstanding job and just listening to him talk about the game and see the way he supports his players you can see why those players respond positively to him. Both teams are full of NFL talent so there should be some very exciting performances to see from both teams. I am a little bit worried about our defense though do to some early injuries we had during the first part of the season. We start 6 true Freshman so it;s kind of nerve racking watching some of the mistakes they make but they also will make some great plays as well. They're just going to have to go through some more growing pains before they become the defense Alabama fans are used to seeing but that is part of football.
Same here Gary, it still pains me some in that I remember when he left us for Miami......I told all my family and friends that he would end up at Bama......and my fear was realized. Of course, if Drew Brees had passed the Miami doctors, he and Saban would have rocked Miami for years, so I have to take solace getting Drew for my Saints.

I have been a DieHard Ohio State Buckeye fan since 1969. Of course I just loved Woody Hayes, Jim Tresse, an Urban Meyer has taken this program to another level! Nick Saban has a class act and the best college coach of all time ! But go Joey go ! I am really happy with this Ryan Day team !

Big Bama fan here but I got mad respect for LSU! I lived in Baton Rouge for 3.5 years and the people down there are great! They are just as passionate about LSU as we are about Bama!
As a die hard Clemson fan, I have a ton of respect for Saban. He's a master chess player for the game of football.

@@31titan70 Dabo already is, I got a lot of respect for Nick but Dabo is better. Dabo heavily out coached Nick just 9 months ago. And people say Clemson isn't what they were last year but they really are. The defense is better than they were last year and so is the offense.

@American South Designs - you guys got 1A right now. Dabo has built Clemson into a freaking POWERHOUSE. I know there is a lot of talk of him succeeding Saban at Bama when he decides to hang it up. Honestly, Dabo would be foolish to take that job. He’s beloved at Clemson and can get the players he needs to keep that train a rollin’. The coach that follows Saban will have expectations that no coach can possibly live up to.

But people can say what they want. He is fantastic football coach . And as of now the best to ever do it in my opinion. As an LSU fan I'm excited for this game. The rivalry use to be a good back and forth but even though some of the 8 straight losses have been close games it definitely takes some of the sting out of the rivalry. This year, you have an offense that can score in a hurry. Don’t be surprised if this thing is in the high 30’s on both sides.

@shdiesel - if he had stayed at LSU, no telling how many Nattys you’d have in your trophy case. As a Bammer, I clearly remember the day Saban was announced as the HC. It was like hearing you’d won the lottery. Years of mediocrity were wearing on us and the future seemed bright. I never believed in my wildest dreams it would lead to this kind of 12 plus year run.

He's arguably the greatest college coach of all-time. That being said, he was an awful NFL coach. Sometimes it just doesn't translate.

We beat Michigan with 43 freshman, and they had 44 Seniors! It was just a team of talent, heart and youth, Won the B10 championship, and qualified for the playoff.

Nick Sabin is a class act and a Coaches coach. He is focused and works so hard keeping everyone else focused on what counts most.
What counts most? The play. Executing the play the best that can be executed. That every coach and player contributes to the best execution of each play because they know what to do and THEY DO IT! . It is the accumulation of the execution of every play - total effort giving your best that creates the sum total of potential in defense and scoring which translates into winning teams.

LSU v Alabama is always a good game, Saban is likely the most successful coach in NCAA sports, not just with all the major wins but all around as a coach within sports, well respected for his accomplishments being steady and long term. GEAUX TIGERS!
This man has so many haters and it's so obvious that they're mostly jealous because he doesn't coach for their favorite team. Like him or not, he's one of the best coaches ever in all of athletics.

This is going to be a fun game I am a Tide fan and yes this is chance to prove that my Tide is ready to be number 1 again. Though LSU also has a chance to prove that and OS I really have no idea why they are number 1 they are like a Clemson to me real weak schedule though they do have some games towards the end that could be considered maybe a challenge maybe. I would love to see a preranked season be the majority of the schedule but then they could not compete with their own division which maybe an increase of games to 14 or 16 and stuff as many as possible in. Joe burrow has increased a lot this year I love Tua but I’d like to see some toughness like in the NC against Georgia his freshman year. It is hard to not get upset over the games we have lost big games when he looked like a community college qb and do not get me wrong Tua is amazing when healthy but when has he in a while I just hope that he gets no kore injuries and develops more cause that last interception that he through I was scratching my head no idea why he would do that.
