The man is a class act. I liked how he made a not so subtle dig at ND when he said his program/Alabama creates value for the players. And that is why players want to come to Alabama. There is value on AND off the field in being a better person, academics and graduating and in life. ND lives in the past while Alabama lives for the present and proves it every year.

Saban is of Croatian ancestry. His paternal grandfather, Stanko Saban, was born in 1895 in Gospić in the Lika region of Croatia. Stanko emigrated to Portland, Oregon in 1908 when he was 13 years old. Alabama and Nick Saban are now outliers in the conversation. From an AU fan, you can talk college football, or you can talk Alabama Football. But it only serves to disrespect Alabama to lump them in with the other 129 losers in FBS. I say that because compared to Alabama, the other 129 teams all kinda just look the same. Really.
And Saban is right--its too bad that covid is here to overshadow the greatest feat in the history of college sports. In my mind, they were the greatest ever simply by going on an 11-game, all-sec campaign of destruction in blowout fashion. These guys werent challenged all season long.
Im an auburn fan...but that fact wasnt going to stop me from witnessing something for the past decade thatll never be seen again. Maybe one day Auburn can do something similar--i rather doubt it lol. But i hope.

Its also rather lame that you would even mention Clemson in the same breath as alabama--especially after this year. Clemson had a run for 3 or 4 years. Thats it. Alabama has more national titles in the past 7 or 8 years than clemson has had REGULAR SEASON GAMES AGAINST TOP 10 TEAMS in the same time span. You realize that right???
In 2016 and 2017 clemson barely came outta the Auburn game both years with thier skins intact. If they have even just an auburn-type team most weeks--like sec teams do--theyre dropping 3 games a year EASILY. Come on dude lol.

I enjoyed the game Mac Jones the field general with all the great players that get it done when you have great receivers and a great ground game along with a defensive team that held Ohio's offense in check it worked like perfect clock work! This was a great team win.
I love this guy. What great things he has done- for us all as fans, players, other coaches etc, no one comes close!

Two of the most beautiful moments I can remember in recent bigtime sports history were when Landon Dickinson was carted off the in SEC championship game as his team circled around him, and then when he was allowed to come into the National Championship game at the end to snap the ball in the victory formation.
I've been liking Alabama since Paul bear Bryant days well the last few years of he's coaching, and the same signature hat like Tom Laundry, im also a Sooners fan, living in Okla aa a big Alabama Crime Tide fan too..

For all he has done on the field he has as done 10 fold off the field for the players. The ones who never play after college are still better prepared for life than most. They know nothing good comes easy, you got to be willing to do the hard work. He has probably done much more for other businesses by shaping the young leaders for the future in many endeavors outside football.
Alabama has been cursed with some of the worst politicians and lack of support for public education, but Nick Saban is the one positive thing that Alabama has going for it!

People like to downplay the success by saying he's got it easy - 5 star talent all over the field, the best coaches, etc. That stuff doesn't just fall into your lap. That takes year of grinding out successful seasons to attract better and fresh talent each year.

He had Derrick Henry which lived 40-50 miles from the Gators in Gainesville Florida. Henry went to Bama and won the Heisman trophy, left and went straight to NFL...$$$$$$$$$$
