Liverpool should be hoping that both Manchester City and Arsenal draw to each other. 2 weeks ago, Liverpool and Manchester City had a 1-1 draw meaning that Arsenal went top of the league only off of goal difference. Now this weekend, Manchester City will play against Arsenal and from 1st to 3rd place, 1 point separates the 3 teams with 10 games to go and Liverpool would benefit from them drawing if they go on to beat Brighton. This title race has so many twists and turns and games like this will absolutely decide the outcome of who’ll win the Premier League title this season.

A draw only gives out 2 total points, but each team would get 1. A win gives out 3 total points but only to 1 team. Since Liverpool are competing against both for the title, you have to root for the fewer points option, the draw.

Statistically, a win for Arsenal puts the title in their hands.. a draw or City win, puts the title in Liverpool hands.. that said, I feel Arsenal are more likely to drop points on the run in.. They have so far escaped important player injuries this year, bit with CL and a tough run in, I feel all players will be stretched.. Liverpool obviously have an easier Europa League, so are better equipped to rotate, especially if we get Jota, Allisson, Trent, Konate back.. As a Liverpool fan, I would rather it be in our hands than relying on other teams to lose, therefore a draw is 1st choice...
Where does this injury luck claim come from? Jesus has missed about half the season, Partey most of it. Zinchenko about half of it. Timber nearly all of it. Tomi about half of it. Martinelli about a quarter of it. And even our squad players like El Nenny, Smith Roe, and Viera have missed time good time with others missing some. We just have depth.

Very stupid to seat back against City. Our keeper is not the best at shot stopping and the last team that sat back at Etihad was Man United who got destroyed 3-1. The Chelsea approach of winning the midfield battle then counter attack seems better.

Statistically, a draw would do, to have the possible edge on points, as VAR and referees can make keeping goal difference better than Man$audi´s difficult, but otherwise I agree with someone who said Liverpool need just to handle their own games, with such a difference that one or even two referee-VAR combinations can´t take the points away. Arsenal should do the same, even though they´ve not been persecuted by VAR in a same manner.
