This move is going to launch the chiefs dynasty because of the picks. This reminds me a lot of when the patriots basically gave lawyer Milloy to Buffalo. You get off of expensive/older guys to save money, get draft capital if possible, and make your roster more balanced elsewhere. This is a classic bill belichick move & moves like this are why many feel like these chiefs are the closest thing we'll ever see to the patriots dynasty

Smart move by the Chiefs though. Hill wanted to get paid, knew that they couldn't let go of that money because the AFC West has gotten so much stronger and defensive contracts needed to be sorted and got a boatload of picks so that they can strengthen the defense with young talent and manage money.
You don't need a Tyreek Hill level WR if you can
A) Mitigate the damage these AFC offenses are able to do with improved defensive play
B) Find an effective receiver that fits the scheme and still helps you put up points.
C) Um...have Patrick Mahomes as your QB.
I doubt Chiefs fans will lose any sleep over this if the picks are used intelligently.

It works for both sides, chiefs desperately need to fix that defense with these picks, and they’ll be able to pick up another WR in the draft too. Obviously Hill is irreplaceable but if they drafted well it works out.

Honestly this wasn't surprising. After Adam's got paid, Chiefs knew that Tyreke would have wanted more than Adam's. Overall Chiefs had holes to fills so its a win win

Stephen A got it all wrong about the salary cap, he looks at it as keeping contracts down for rich owners but it helps keep all the teams competitive. It could be like the English premier league where big teams pay up and nobody else can compete in nearly 30 years only 7 different teams have ever won the league and 3 of those are one time winners or Scotland where only 2 teams ever win the league. When thinking of it all European sports there are only 2 or 3 teams who can win. The salary cap....It's a good thing.

Chiefs are going to get one of the top 4 WR in this years draft and maybe 2 of the top 10 because of how many draft picks they have. At some point the money just runs out and what has killed us the last few years is the inability to spend any money on the secondary. This is the reason we still have Sorenson playing at Safety and he cost us on two TD plays for Cincinnati a chance at the super bowl. In 2023 we will be able to resign alot of our best defensive players that are all ready on the roster with the money Hill wanted. Stephen a used to be so enjoyable to watch when he was a good combination of knowledge, honesty, and entertainment. Now he's all about being as over the top as humanly possible, and being genuine and knowledgeable has taken a back seat to the character he now plays on TV and radio. That works fine for pandering to the lowest common denominator crowd out there, but fans with a more pragmatic approach are left wondering what happened to the guy we used to know. Lucky for him there are no shortage of idiots who just want to be entertained, but I sure do miss the guy that once upon a time was so balanced.

Chiefs better use some picks on defense because they defense is always bad to average. Having a solid defense can help ease not stop but ease the pain of not having Tyreek anymore.

We'll come back to this in a couple years after KC cleans house in this upcoming couple of drafts and build a much better overall team. Meanwhile, Tyreek Hill will be yesterday's news. Yeah he'll still make some great plays for Miami, if he's even still playing for Miami at that point, and he'll probably be wishing he had taken a bit less money to stay in KC. In the short term, the Chiefs Super Bowl odds barely went down at all, and that's before the draft and free agency.

If they had gotten a good Defensive player they need from the Dolphins plus some of these draft picks I could understand this trade. That didn't happen. Maybe they can make another trade and help that side of the ball by just trading picks. If they don't, it was a dumb move on the Chiefs part. I've seen drafted players never amount to jack in the NFL. 1st, 2nd rd dudes that just didn't contribute. Tyreek has touched the ball many, many times from only a few yards out and taken it all the way or even just gave a major shift in ball control. Chiefs use some of the draft capital to take Trent McDuffie, who quickly becomes a lockdown corner and helped lead the Chief's historic defense through an epic playoff run against four of the top six offenses for the season. The one thing I haven’t heard anybody talk about, maybe they have I just haven’t heard it. Tyreek Hill is only 5‘10“ and weighs 180 pounds and is 28 years old. I’m a Kansas City Chiefs fan and it breaks my heart to lose the most electrifying player in the league. He’s full of joy and life and his pure entertainment in the end zone after score of the touchdown. The one thing that makes him special is his speed and quickness. At 28 I would think he has two years at best before he starts to slow down. Once that happens, because of his size he’s just an ordinary receiver. That’s just my opinion I would love to hear somebody else’s.
