I live in Orlando and driving down the turnpike I saw the buses that some of the players were driving through in the Disney Resort, pretty cool.
Speaking with a philosopher the other day, he made me think. Is sports really a subtle way of teaching us to take sides and think negatively about people who are different? For the athletes, it’s therapeutic, because they get to workout their angsts and see each other for years, long enough to learn that we are the same. But those of us who are spectators, we don’t get to workout and express our tensions. We sit and watch. As the stakes get higher, the intensity grows. At the kid level, parents are happy for all teams and ages. In HS, we began to dislike opposing schools. In college, we get very tribal, in the pros for fans ( things get real ignorant). The increase coincides with the development of perceived prejudices. As kids, it’s unheard of until taught. In HS, we began to notice the separation and differences in treatment, college age ( we began to internalize excuses for not accomplishing goals), as adults ( our prejudices are more solidified). I can’t stop thinking that there is some truth to that. I’m a classic example, I hate the Patriots and their city, because as an adult, I learned about the treatment of people like me, up there. In college, some of my closest associates were from the Boston area. As a kid, I was a Flutie fan. Think about it. More reasons for division can’t be good.

Lakers vs Pelicans 1st rd I'm sure this is what the NBA would like to happen Zion vs Bron. vs Houston 2nd rd, Rockets not being talked about at all, vs Clippers in west finals battle of Los Angeles.
Clippers have a tougher road than the Lakers. I could see the Clips being bounced in the 2nd round as usual by the Rockets.
Clippers will be playing Denver in the 2nd rd. Houston would want to play against the Lakers than the Clippers. Clippers will match up better against the Rockets small ball lineup sp.
