Just think it's important to note that BOTH men have 6 days notice, truthfully. I get that Masivdal may have not been continuously training but the other guy/champion has to adjust to a new fighter too (whereas he did not have to take the fight). I am a fan of BOTH guys. It's still likely to happen. Jorge had a good performance for 6 days notice. Had a full camp usman shooting 3/ 12 in the takedown department and got up everytime. I also think jorge outstruck usman in the first round in significant strikes. It was like 20 to 8 or summn and usman wasnt anywhere near finishing him the entire fight. All I learned from that fight is an unprepared jorge is still an animal and a prepared usman is sacred to fight anyone his own size so he uses his weight and strength to hold guys.

Max's fight reminded me of when George St Pierre fought Jonny Hendricks. Hendricks cruised the 5th round, St Pierre got some take downs and ended up winning.
I would not say outclassed, he just outmuscle him. Aside from 2 clean pounches Usman gave Masvidal in round 4, majority of the fight he just kept him on the fence and not doing any damage besides targeting his toe and rib cage. I mean it wasn't even a dominant force like Kahbib taking guys down. Usman won just because of grabling hold time, p**y jabs and toe stomps and a couple takedowns. All Jorge got damage was two accidental head bumps meanwhile Usman got a fat right eye from Masvidal's punches. It was a smart formula for Usman but bad entertainment from fans and it's ashame majority of the main even fights are just boring af just like Adensanya vs Romero this main fight was just boring. Once again the females and other fights were more entertaining than this one.
A lot of the tie ups would have been broken up by the ref if there was a crowd because the crowd would have been booing soo much it would have put pressure on the ref to break up the monotonous hugging and holding that Usman was doing.

It's still likely to happen. Jorge had a good performance for 6 days notice. Had a full camp usman shooting 3/ 12 in the takedown department and got up everytime. I also think jorge outstruck usman in the first round in significant strikes. It was like 20 to 8 or summn and usman wasnt anywhere near finishing him the entire fight. All I learned from that fight is an unprepared jorge is still an animal and a prepared usman is sacred to fight anyone his own size so he uses his weight and strength to hold guys.

Aside from 2 clean pounches Usman gave Masvidal in round 4, majority of the fight he just kept him on the fence and not doing any damage besides targeting his toe and rib cage. I mean it wasn't even a dominant force like Kahbib taking guys down. Usman won just because of grabling hold time, p**y jabs and toe stomps and a couple takedowns. All Jorge got damage was two accidental head bumps meanwhile Usman got a fat right eye from Masvidal's punches. It was a smart formula for Usman but bad entertainment from fans and it's ashame majority of the main even fights are just boring af just like Adensanya vs Romero this main fight was just boring. Once again the females and other fights were more entertaining than this one.
