I think that offensive line is the key to sucess.
Dak has been surrounded by serious weapons for four years and he’s 8/8. Dallas has almost created a plug and play situation at the QB position.......He doesn’t deserve Mahomes money period. If he plays under the tag now and Dallas signs him next year to a four year deal, Dallas still has him for 5 🤷🏻♂️
The guy has one season that he went 8-8 and you want that one season to define his career. Why are you and so many others willing to completely disregard 13-3, 9-7, and 10-6, 2 division titles and a playoff win and only point out the one 8-8 season when it comes to paying this man?

I think Dallas should just let him play on franchise tag. They should not care
If Dallas really wanted to get this done they would have. But I think they want this 1 year "audition" with Dak and Mike McCarthy because Jerry and Co aren't convinced Dak is the guy who can get them to where they want to go. And the concern is his performance against better teams. Dallas got rid of one possible variable in that and brought in McCarthy. So we'll see. As will Dallas.

@@chris.coffin he's started every game since he's been in the league, he's gone 40-24 and has more wins than anyone not named Tom Brady since he's been in the league, he's won the division 2 of the 4 years that he's been in the league, he has a playoff win and had the defense not given up a 30 yard reception in a 3rd and 33 situation late in the game to allow the Packers to kick the game winning field goal we may all be looking at him in a different light. I'd say the guy has done a helluva lot for this team already and he deserves to be properly compensated for what he has already done and for the potential that he can/will do.

I’d rather have Dalton and load up on the defense. The offense is so stacked Dalton can win you 10 games this season. The QB market will be crowded next season. Dak ball out or it’s going to be a career of regrets.

They have a guy who lost his job while playing for the Cincinnati Bengals and you're thinking that he's going to come in and beat Dak out for the starting job as quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys and take us on a deep playoff run. What world are you living in? The Boyz best chance at reaching the Super Bowl within the next few years is with Dak Prescott under center.

Washington said that no one would pay Kirk and he had offers from at least two teams (Jets and Vikings). Ryan went to the Titans after his previous stint and people said no one would pay him. So we shall see. As long as Dak stays healthy and/or he still has that big insurance policy.

Need I remind you 2 that Dak has a winning record against the Eagles. I believe the count is Dak 6 wins, Eagles 2 wins. And one of those wins by the Eagles came in a game that meant absolutely nothing to the Boyz at the end of the 2016 season. I think that means Dak has been more than just a little bit of competition for the Eagles.

Because he hasn’t missed one game in 4 years, has led the team to a positive record of the 4 years combined with one of the worsts coaches out there. While romo was hurt a number of times. He deserves his 4 year deal

I tried telling so many on a post at the time regarding this contract "why are you gonna pay him more money than several veteran QB's who've won SB's and played in multiple ones" when he'd won only one playoff game in seven seasons! Funny thing is, and it's no coincidence, that Dak continues to validate why he shouldn't have gotten that massive deal! Your legacy as a QB ends up being how you perform in the playoffs when it matters! Your regular season and your team's regular season doesn't win you a SB! You hafta go out and earn it! Dak is being smart. Franchise tag means big pay day guaranteed. He knows he's an average QB and this is his path to making the most money guaranteed. Eventually he'll get replaced and he knows it. Get as many franchise tags as you can. cash in.
Starting to look more and more like racial BS, Romo got paid and we never sniffed an NFC championship. I see no reason not to pay Dak for actually better performance because at least he's gained the same ground in the time he was supposed to,...his rookie stint,...Romo took seven years to get to the same accomplishments.
