I have no problem with Garrett's contract. I have no problem with any NFL player's contract. Or the NBA. My problem, if I may call it that, is that many professional Black athletes live under the delusion that they are discriminated against and disadvantaged because of the color of their skin. I would love to hear someone explain how $25 million a year for 5 years is oppressive to Myles Garrett. Will he kneel for the anthem? I have no idea. But I will say this: if he does, he is brainwashed - totally unaware of reality. Black professional athletes, on average, are paid salaries in the top .1% of all income earners in America. There is no where else on planet earth where they could earn that kind of money other than America. Black professional athletes are PRIVILEGED. Meanwhile, tens of millions of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck. Kneeling for the anthem is not smart, it is not prideful, it is not making a point which needs to be made. It is a giant middle finger given to the average American who just wants to be entertained on Sunday.
