The key thing is whether the school has rules against using its logo and facilities as part of the endorsement. The one point is that many people want to see or follow people with a personal aspect to them, not so much what they do on the field as mentioned in the piece. It will be interesting to see how creative the endorsements get.
The ironic part is that this only effects the top amateur athletes, who will make millions going pro once they're done with college. The average athlete it won't effect.
Naw the law means a video game could pay college athletes, there's also guys like Denard Robinson who was a star in college but didn't make much as a pro.
I imagine KRplus will find a way to trigger another Ad-pocalypse with Student Athlete Influencers with their schools logos and film within their content, forget about the coaches.
