Ryan Schick for one you clearly don’t watch Cavs games to know anything if you think their guards are “selfish”. Secondly assists of a point guard arent a measurement of team production. It’s just a stat. They have 5 players averaging over 10ppg, one of few teams to do that. Their main problem is their defense and lack of depth. Though I do agree that Garland is horrible at the point guard position scoring wise, Sexton is maxing out his role on this team and shouldn’t take the blame for being thrown into this clusterfuck combo guard offense.

Other superstars probably would not have! What if he had the #1 pick a year earlier or later. That would have been AI or Olowokandi. Not the same buy-in, talent, and wouldn't be the same result. Riley, Jackson, Doc, Pop etc. I think that B is a good coach and these guys that are 18 to 20 prob shouldn't have much to say since they are still developing skills to just be competitive in the league. Maybe a vet doesn't like the extra work or change in style but the vets on this team are prob not part of the long term plan of the Cavs anyway. The young players should be able and willing to adapt pretty quickly seeing most just left college.

Ultimately it comes down to this very simple concept, players are responsible for scoring the ball, defending the ball, rebounding the ball and passing the ball. If you're in the NBA and you can not preforme those basic fundamental skills which are the foundation for winning and losing, at a consistently high level, that's on you not the coach.

ShaqXDeezil the problem is that this team really isn’t that young. Most of their players are pretty old (26-31) and have been apart of championship teams. With the exception of those who entered the league later, a good chunk of these players have been around since 2013 are nearing their 30s. While their younger players may have bought into the system, it is the older players that need to be convinced. In the case of Brad Stevens, most of his veteran players were out of Boston by the end of his first season and the younger players bought into the system. In the case of the Cavs, most of their veterans have egregious contracts with multiple years left that are hard to move. So unless the front office is able to move them, the veterans will continue to complain and they will continue to lose

All these College Head Coaches coming to the NBA and trying to coach grown men the same way they coached in College. There is a difference between coaching a 18-22 year old kid who isn't getting paid to play and guys who are getting paid $Millions and your in a league that is ran by the players not the Coach. If a teams All-Star player wants a coach fired, that coach will be gone within 24 hours. You can't be coaching grown men like they are apart of a AAU Teen Team, there all going to look at you with an expression on their face like. This guy is something else and not give you the proper treatment as a Head Coach. College Coaches thinking they can come in the league their 1st year and start treating talking to players like Greg Popovich's talks to his players. Greg Popovich has been a Head Coach and previously an Assistant Coach for (31 years in the NBA as a Coach) with (San Antonio Spurs (assistant)
1988-1992, Golden State Warriors (Assistant Coach under Don Nelson) 1992-1994, then San Antonio Spurs 1996-present. Coach Popovich had to build up the credibility within the league, didn't start coaching his team the way he does now back in 1996 when he started coaching the Spurs. The only Head Coach to win a Championship in both College and the NBA history was Larry Brown. (1988 University of Kansas), (2004 Detroit Pistons). There is a reason why College Coaches don't work out in the NBA. They lack the ability to communicate with there players like they are an employee (Which they are, The NBA is a business not in College anymore), they are no longer students.

Yeah well then the Cavs players don't respond well to success and winning at literally every level. I know college isn't necessarily equal to the pros, but Beilein at Michigan made 2 National Championship appearances, for a 4-5 year stretch he helped develop lots of NBA talent from guys who weren't necessarily top recruits (Trey Burke, Nik Stauskas, Caris LeVert, Duncan Robinson, Derrick Walton Jr.). He developed players better than any other coach and I'd take Beilein over any other coach. Anyone can win with guys who are bigger, stronger, and faster (Calipari, Roy Williams, Coach K - no offense to Coach K he is awesome) but it takes a master to win with out it.
Beilein won a Big Ten title for Michigan a decade ago or so, and he started four 6'2"-6'4" guards and his tallest player who got minutes was a 6'7" combo 4/5. I mean, come on. The guy is a master. The Cavs would be ridiculous to turn on him, of course they aren't going to win now, that roster is trash. Give Beilein a chance, give him a few drafts and let him and his staff develop guys.
