Because sometimes Paul tends to think his voice is the only one that matters. Didn't even take time to notice he just repeated what Jokic said verbatim. We get it, you don't think much of him this year, but if you're going to do sports commentary, then pay attention to what's being said.

Eh I agreed with pretty much everything until the "it's not on the coach, it's on me" part. While that does apply to like 99% of NBA stars, Jokić comes from a background that is like complete opposite to that. He's been taught from a young age that you do whatever the coach tells you to do and that coach is "the guy". He's so passive because he feels like he should shoot only when they actually run a play for him. And it's not something that can easily be changed, perhaps it might never change, because it's in his basketball core. Like the stupid fouls he makes to stop the fast-break that are common in Europe and that often get him in foul trouble. And you've heard Malone tell him many times not to take them, but it's like a reflex to him. Every player that came from Serbia to the NBA, one of the few things they mention when asked about the differences between the NBA and European bball is how everyone there keeps telling them to shoot, shoot, shoot. In Europe, you expect to get smacked in the head if you take a bad shot.
TL;DR: Jokić is really struggling to adapt to the way basketball is played in the NBA when it comes to shooting. You could see that even in the last year where he was generally awesome.
Furthermore, Jokic is not even a star at Europe. He was used to be the supplier.
The thing Jokic needs to realize is he is as capable as any player there is in the NBA.
We see do it last playoff.
He need to to be the MAN on that team cause he really has the talent to do it.

@Jake Smith He also didn't play good for Serbia during the summer at the world cup in China. He was such a monster in the playoffs. Like one of the best bigs I ever saw play. He was all over the court,his stamina was on the elite level,he was mobile,quick et. and we all know about his skills...So to see him like this,it honestly makes me sad,that's how much I liked to watch him play. But he will bounce back. To much skill not to.

But Jokic still does mention "thats why coach is not giving me the ball." This is the whole point Pierce is making -- if you're really a 1A scorer, even if you're in a slump, there's nothing about "coach isnt giving me the ball" because you will always take the reigns

Even if Giannis is slightly more versatile than AD defensively, that doesn’t mean better. AD is better at guarding 2-5 than Giannis is. Giannis might be slightly better at guarding 1’s but AD is a much better rim protector and a complete different maker defensively. He’s the best defensive player in the world right now

George Polychronopoulos Anthony Davis does all of that lol. He’s the best defensive player in basketball. Him and Gobert are the best rim protectors in the league and everyone else is way behind. Davis is quicker. Better playing the passing lanes. Better feet. And better on the perimeter. Giannis is amazing but he’s not AD defensively.
