As a former student-athlete we have the rights to make money off of ourselves, Everyone else makes money off of the athlete but the actual person... And I don't want to hear that c*** about a free education because that education may be worth $200000 but a star athlete is bringing in millions plus helping to pay for coaches salaries
Thing is most athletes don't make much off NIL deals, the average income is 1-10k... Their are big time stars the make a ton, but that's the top 1%. Honestly I think most D1 athletes, football players included, get a super good deal with a free ride, but most of them are too un-educated/dumb to see that and waste it.
@@hugoberlan Were you a student-athlete? No one should be able to capitalize off of your name or image without having to pay you for that! The reason some of these coaches are upset now is because what they were doing under the table can now be done in plain view and the athletes control it now!!! Most star athletes will never use that degree anyways and the colleges know that, Do you have any idea how much sports brings to a region how many jobs it creates so the only uneducated person here sounds like you

Any player receiving NIL deals that actually pay them,should not get scholarships and they should have to pay their way.
No,you can afford it now! That athletic scholarship now goes to someone who needs it. Because not everyone is getting nil deals.
