Now, explain to me how the Regular Season is more important than the Super Bowl? Because last time I checked, the Vince Lombardi Trophy is the primary goal in the NFL. Is that trophy awarded to the team that had the best regular season, or the team that wins the Super Bowl? That should be proof that the Super Bowl is more important than the Regular Season.

McCaffrey was second last year in receptions OVERALL. The man had 1k rushing and 1k receiving, only Roger Craig and Marshall Faulk has done what CMC has done. CMC was the offense last year in Carolina, and I hope they start winning or he goes to a winning team.
His stats/skills don’t translate to winning. he also got the stats because the team is bad so the owner says to give him all the touches to generate interest in the team.

Ethan Ward they were a terrible team until Cam got there and took them to the super bowl. He’s only been on the team three years and they have gotten worse. He’s not some big dog, if you look at all the running backs taken his year he’s maybe the 5th best and the other guys have helped franchises get better. He scores the most meaningless touchdowns in football lol they aren’t going to get better unless they get better players around him.

I think there's a better argument for Khalil Mack. If the Bears, the godawful Bears go anywhere close to the playoffs, Mack has to be brilliant like two years ago. Like dominating on in a way that makes you sit up and notice. Like a streak of games where he's takes the ball away from the offense. VERY UNLIKELY but he's had stretches like that before. It's just really tough to keep that up the whole time.
And he's a superstar so he's got media love in the bank to fuel sportswriters talking about him if he's amazing.
RBs and WRs need QBs to give them the ball a lot taking away their shine.
Aaron Donald is good too for similar reasons but Mack's impact could be seen as larger because of relative dearth of talent on offense to help him out. But Donald is a GREAT choice too.

I think offensive player of the year has kind of become the WR/RB MVP. It sucks, but in today's passing and qb driven league, the Panthers would have to go like 12-4, McCaffrey repeats or beats his last season, and there aren't any prominent qb seasons.

A Team has to be a playoff contender. The panthers are not a playoff team yet.
I give them 2 years before they make the postseason 7-9 this year 9-7 next year and then they'll be a consistent 10-6 to 12-4 team every year for like 6-8 years.

Offensive Player of the year should not go to Quarterbacks. It should go to a Wide Receiver, Running Back, Tight End, or even a Offensive Lineman. The MVP will be won by a Quarterback, unless a Defensive lineman breaks the sack, a Receiver breaks Calvin Johnson's record for most receiving yards in a single season or a Running Back breaks the record for most total scrimmage yards in a single-season a Quarterback. It also has to be a season with all Top Tier Quarterbacks having a down season, which is never going to happen.

Mccafrey has the best chance. Hes gonna get his 1000+ yards rushing and receiving. And hes good for 75 ish receptions. 10 to 15 rushing TDs. And 5 to 10 recieving. The man is basically a back and a #2 slot receiver all in one. I know mahomes will be the fav to win mvp. But if mccafrey does those things above. And the panthers get a wildcard at 9-7. If mahomes ain't throwing 50 tds and 5000 yards than mccafrey would deserve that award with that roster and division.

MT was phenomenal last year, but if Drew Brees is healthy there’s no chance he’s even in the conversation. All of those yards and catches go on Brees’ resume too, who will also have stats from other players and a much better narrative to win MVP
The commons thread between the two non-QBs who were in the MVP convo last year was their QBs were injured. They had to shine and carry the load when the rest of their offense was falling apart. I don’t see that happening for MT again this year
