@BlazeCam I don't consider them as the no. 1 favorite to win the east. Some teams are not built for playoffs. I didn't think that Giannis will be this good, but he proved me wrong. So maybe, I'll be wrong again. Just my opinion

We have a better record at this point in the season than we did last year.. we won more games based on a percentage basis without Kawhi last season than we did with.. the raptors cannot be discarded because Kawhi isn’t there. If we’re talking about a balance of excellent defence and high powered offence, raptors are near the top of the list. They have championship DNA and experience.

As a Mavs fan I gotta say yes they can as long as they have Erik Spokstra and Pat Riley. BTW they have Jimmy Butler, Andre Igouldala, Bam Adabayo, Gorin Dragić, Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson, Myles Leonard, Kendrick Nunn and Derrick Jones Jr. best part is that they will have enough cap money for another max player in 2021. I think the heat have a chance to win the east but i will say they have struggled against the celtics (that matchup is a tricky one), sixers changing up their lineup will see how that works, the raptors i think would be a hard fought series, and obviously time to see how good the bucks are in the playoffs.

Realistically, the Heat have about a 1/50 chance to win the NBA championship, but with Bam turning into the DPOY, they can wreak havoc.
The only reason why the Heat could be a problem is because everybody playing on neutral ground in the bubble.Pre coronavirus the Heat have a dismal away from home record if things were under normal circumstances they would be a first or second round exit guaranteed.Under this format however they could reach the conference finals,but making it to the finals and winning they have no shot.

Yes we can compete. Nothing left to be said. We at top 3 team in the East
Bucks, Raptors, Celtics and Sixers would all handle Miami. The zone will be exposed in the playoffs, they won't be able to hide terrible defenders like Robinson and Herro. Even during the regular season 12th best defense isn't good enough to go deep, and they'll get worse. Miami offense will struggle since Butler can't shoot 3s anymore and won't get bailed out with free throws, overreliance on rookies/young players that won't be able to handle playoff intensity. They don't have a reliable scoring threat after Butler. Overall, they'll be a tough team but all the aforementioned should be able to take them out. Heat fans kinda delusional.

Some people don't realize or perhaps are not following the Heat this season thoughroughly. From the start, Jimmy's intent was to make his teammates ready come playoffs' time. They don't need a 2nd or 3rd star. They need a leader like him to activate the young dawgs potentials. You can clearly see how Bam, Tyler, Duncan, Nunn, Djj, Meyers flourish. Don't forget Spo, UD and recent additions Iggy and crowder for that lock-in championship mentality.

Miami vs Dallas Finals!
The thing about Miami is, they have the players to at least guard Giannis. If they make things difficult for Giannis, then they demand Middleton to step up.
Thats where they get their advantage. If Bam can again defend Giannis like what hes done this season, Middleton will be forced to take his scoring up a bit. He may sometimes be the first option, and thats the best case scenario for Miami.
In the opener, Miami shut down Giannis, and forced Middleton to be the first option. That should be their gameplan.
Yes, Giannis is better than any player on Miami, but if Bam somehow slowed Giannis down, theyll have a decent chance againt the Bucks.

The Miami Heat is the dark horse team from the Eastern Conference. They aren't necessarily contenders for the championship but they can make some noise and certainly make a deep playoff run that could result in them making their first trip to the Finals since 2014
