The Jets picking Wilson over Fields is definitely a “JETS” type thing to do. Just amazes me that one season of beating sub par competition can elevate a guy no ones heard of with a injury history over a guy that’s been at the top of his high school class and played absolutely phenomenally his sophomore season, and played great besides two games this season.
Dude played average against Coastal Carolina.
Wilson fits the new Jets offense system perfectly. And no matter who he played his arm is still very special and how he can throw in different postion like mahomes and how he’s very smart with knowing how to read a defense

The jets will be using the shanahan system next year for offense and will be getting gaurds in draft and fa to complete there oline. On the move throws Wilson is very good and feilds is not. There both really good with Wilson arm talent and fields pure athleticism which is why is upside is very high with the other top qbs

Kyler had a coach brought in that he already had a relationship with from college which makes that transition from college ball to the NFL A LOT smoother. It's much less that you have to learn (especially when it comes to the playbook). Rosen's coach was there for just that season then he was gone (which is REALLY weird). Don't get me wrong, Rosen was never going to be as talented as Murray but he also didn't get the time that most of these other guys get to prove what they are. Had Rosen played for like 2 or maybe 3 seasons and been without results, then I would be in more agreement with your point of view.

Listen I'm just a novias but back in 2017 I thought it was absolutely crazy that McShay had Mitch Trubisky as not only the best QB but the #1 pick overall. In 2016 as a Bears fan I watched several of his games because I knew we were going to pick a QB in the next draft and came away after each game unimpressed and said whoever picks him will regret it. Sorry but I feel the same way about Zach Wilson, I'm just not impressed and don't see anything other than an occasional starter or at best someone who may be a Derek Carr, decent but not great.

When I watched Wilson play I saw a middle of the road QB who isn't gong to be any better than Daronald. and if I were the Jets I would pick the Tackle out of Oregon or trade down get another tackle and get other weapons to surround Daronld with. @@marvinydj They have almost the exact same skill sets and Cam's career has been hurt a lot by injuries and inability to be a consistently accurate passer from the pocket. He may be able to run and make plays with his feet but from what we've seen with him and Lamar Jackson, defenses are figuring out how to make them throw the ball instead of run. Lamar may have not fallen off a cliff like Cam has but I think he's reached his ceiling if he can't make more plays from the pocket. Lance will likely follow a similar trajectory. I haven't seen anything in his highlights to suggest he's capable of making plays with his arm and his legs like lets say a Deshaun Watson can.
All the mock drafts were vanilla, so there are changes that I don't necessarily agree with

Outside of Trevor L, only teams who are rebuilding should use their first round pick on a QB in this year's draft.
Anyway, the reason why QBs, WRs, and CBs go in the first round is because they are very expensive as free agents. It's 4 years of cheap labor (even as a 1st rounder) for a GM.
