Simmons is no good I agree. But it’s not just him embiid has some serious issues with letting his emotions take control and just pout in the corner. When your best player does that it rubs off on the team. If you’ve ever played competitive sports you played with some players like that and if they are a top player on your team you know how it destroys the teams spirit. I’m surprised no one talks about this. As great as embiid is he will continue to be a loser until he matures.

And the list goes on. Ben is not the only one. The guys that are hungry for a chance are not given any minutes and they keep them sitting on the bench. They should have put one of those guys in and took ben out. They gave Mann a chance and look what he's doing. They gonna have him starting soon. That's why I say, Doc should have put somebody else out there and gave them a chance to help win that series instead of constantly putting ben out there when he clearly saw what was happening. The Hawks were constantly fouling him because they knew he would miss the free throw and Doc let that happen. I just don't understand why he kept putting him back in the game.

For years they kept telling us Doc was one of the best coaches in the league, even an all-time great coach. But now as you look at his track record, it’s just bad. His reputation is really suffering as you see teams he used to coach succeeding way more than him, while he’s not able to improve or even regressed for the team he controls.
Like the lob city clippers should’ve achieved way more than what they did. At least one WCF. But no one said anything about Doc back then, whereas I think now we can start to wonder, especially when you see how well CP3 is doing with the suns on the DOWNTURN of his career.

Doc beat the same Dallas team in 6 last year that it took Ty 7 to beat this year. Doc made similar adjustments last year, he also went away from Bev and Lou and relied more on Reggie. The Zubac move accomplished what? held Luka to 39, 44, 42 and 46? They removed Zubac and he immediately started hunting Reggie, Morris, Bev, Rondo and Mann. The only thing that slowed him down was his neck and anytime he was matched up with Kawhi. So why didn´t he make adjustments to make sure Kawhi was on Luka at all times? He couldn´t no coach can. You might slow down a great player for a few quarters or a game but its temporary and cosmetic. In the end Lue had to rely on his best players being better then the other teams best players in critical moments. His best players making above the system plays when things break down and they need a bucket, stop or rebound. Every single coach in the playoffs has to rely on that to get them in position to win. Yup, no excuses for a 33% FT when you’re literally getting paid to play basketball, and many millions at that! Even shaq could shoot at least 50% so he’d be splitting FTs. But with Ben he’s only converting on a 1/3 of attempts, which is unheard of at the NBA level or any professional level. Also shaq would still dominate and not give up wide open layups. With shaq, even with his FT woes he’d still give you like 36 points, 12 boards, 2-3 blocks, and a few dimes. With Ben he may even struggle to break double digits and the opponent’s defense has no fear when he gets the ball, which hinders his teammates. Teams would actually fear Shaq having the ball.

Embiid responded by having an MVP caliber season. Harris responded by being reliable in the regular season and not being a total dud in the playoffs (most you can expect from him). Lastly, Simmons responded by shrinking to any level or real accountability and ended up regressing. I don't blame Doc for saying what he needed to say to keep Simmons from completely breaking down. In my personal opinion possibly one of the biggest what ifs of the newest decade is, what if the 76rs actually pulled the trigger on the James Harden trade. Looking at how these playoffs have played out so far, if you add Harden to that 76rs team do they beat the Hawks? Then possibly the Bucks or Nets in the conference finals

At some point Ben Simmons has to take control of his own destiny of he want to continue to play this game. I also think Ben probably should have stayed in college for at least 2 years to create a jump shot

Ben Simmons is not RUINED. Doc did not RUIN Ben Simmons, but he should have known better than to trust him in late-game situations. Simmons set himself up for failure when he did not bother to improve over the 4 years he's been in the league.

It's Doc's fault. Doc ruined the series by being a bad coach. Ben doesn't have to be a shooter to be a good player.

Players development comes with coaching, the problem is that some of them have gotten away from that with all the other 💩. That's why certain player thrive when they leave🏃🏿‍♂️ philly especially and so on
