@@jaredladmirault1622 the only place on earth with no cases of covid are Antarctica or Greenland no place is safe. Even if there were a few cases like 100,000 plus in some small city or backwater village it still wouldn't be safe. Its just a bad idea in general to have major sporting events taking place during a "World wide pandemic" you do know what that means right? that means no matter where you go what state country province city village town whatever there are confirmed cases and deaths.
Imani Raimey the nfl could go to New Zealand or another country and play with better covid restrictions and fines. They could theme as introducing that country to American football. New Zealand is a prime choice because they are playing rugby in front of 40k+ fans with no cases reported since they began a month ago
Somewhat true. But we have to remember that when they each chose Florida the virus was on the decline. But Florida like Texas & Georgia opened early and then the virus blew up in all 3.

I don‘t think she should have written a letter afterwards to apologize, nor feel a need to disclose her medical history. Why do people succumb to social media so much? There are those narcisstic folks that need attention, but there is certainly no obligation to address everything online, nor even feel inferior about it.
The exposure is too much for her, so she should not evem take the risk. Regardless, hope she feels better.

It’s totally in her right to protect her health but she shouldn’t expect to get paid for it, just like a normal person wouldn’t get paid for not showing up to work

@@capitanrilex9850 I meant the diagnosis shouldn't be either from her personal doctors or WNBA's doctors. It should be made by a third party doctor, maybe some doctor with no relationship to the case assigned by a judge.
Only then - based on the third party doctors' diagnosis - the decision should be made. That's the fairest possible way to deal with it.

Victor Petrescu hey some revenue is better than none. The teams will get paid through tv contracts, advertising, general fandom, etc. Right now people are desperate to consume any sport. WNBA, for instance, could gain some new fans during this time, and that might have long lasting implications. So there’s long term gains to be made for sure even if they lose money right now. That said, I still think everyone working the games should receive a hazard pay.
The worst case scenario is having a WNBA to begin with...
