Definitely underpaid. But you know what that also tells me? That he’s not in this just for the money. He wants to stay in Nashville and wants to win with them. I had a ton of respect for him, but now I have even more. And now he’s my favorite player on the team. The Juggernaut is here to stay. 2020 season will be glorious.

Swarthy One how does playoff success have anything to do with how good cmc is? He’s a running back. It’s not his fault that the rest of his team wasn’t good. Also you say you have to “show up and shout out in the playoffs” but you have zeke, who has one playoff win in his career, and Barkley, who has no playoff appearances ahead of him.

Derrick Henrys contract is so team friendly, only 25.5 Mill guaranteed, which is less than Le'Veon Bell and David Johnson. Henry has a habit of starting the season off slow, he is at his best late in the season after Week 10 closer to the playoff push.

Assuming the high workload doesn't cause him to break down it's a great deal; the Titans definitely get as much value out of him as any RB after CMC in the league so 5th highest paid is pretty good. And so far he's been an anomaly in terms of size+explosiveness+durability so he could last 4 years.
He carried it basically 30 times a game in college and even 46 in the iron bowl. He’s used to it

I don’t like this deal at all from a guaranteed standpoint. The contract structure for RB is very devalued. The running game is still an integral part of the offense.

Henry instantly forged a legacy in the playoffs with the run he spearheaded for the Titans last season. I was higher on Henry than most people going into the start of last season. I knew what a beast he was. Once Luck decided to hang em up and I believe it was the Texans’ starting RB who went down for the season with a training camp injury, I actually picked the Titans to win the division at that point because of their D and their running game. Everyone was doubting and buying into Jacoby Brissett as being the next great QB for the Colts and picking Indy to win the division. All this said, I still would have to take McCaffrey during the regular season. But come playoff time, I’ll take me some Derrick Henry.
If Derrick Henry keeps it up, he will be the next Marshawn Lynch, without a doubt.
Its not obviously my money but I feel this is bad deal for Henry,before last season I didn't love especially cos he's in the same division as the Texans and he would just run over them for 70 yard plays...he didn't seem like a consistent runner and the play action ability wasn't there for him cos he doesn't have good hands but after last year and especially during the playoff..he was everything for their offense...I can't believe the Titans paid Tannehil 129mil and I think 31mil a year and will pay henry just 12mil...that doesn't make any sense.. We all know Ryan is just OK and before last season he was a bust...I hope Tennessee sack and Henry outperforms his contract and gets to free agency and get another contract more comparable to his output....again how do you give Ryan that much money when he isn't the engine of your offense,who was going to pay him that much money anyway?
