1.) Bird didn’t build up the Celtics’ organization greatness and Kobe didn’t build up the Lakers’ organization greatness. They continued it, but they didn’t built it up.

Context matter tho, Spurs was sellin to stop Shaq or else it’s an easy bucket every time they got the ball on offense, straight doubling every time down the floor so that had to leave someone to feast on the perimeter, I.E. The Celtics beat Wilt, not Bill Russell. Russell, who was a phenomenal player, had an incredibly stacked team and an all-time great coach and that is why Wilt's teams came up short. For his part, Wilt averaged 28.7 Points and 28.7 Rebounds against Russell across 142 Games. Imagine averaging near a 30-30 game across 142 Games and being told that the other guy, who averaged half that, is better because he had much better team-mates.

Well he had a point. Can one title (barely in 7 games) compare to 5 titles from Kobe, Magic each in the lakers, 6 titles from MJ and friggin 11 from Bill. LeBron had all the power in the world to switch teams, he has no excuse of only winning 3 titles while others stayed with their teams and delivered more. @@dukerussellel2626 LeBron #3 at best right now. No way is Kobe top 3 though - he barely makes top 10 (not that that's a bad thing at all). Some guys don't even have Kobe in they top 10, from numerous comments I've seen over the last few years, which is interesting. I think LeBron HAS TO win a ring in LA to solidify that top 3. We have a recency bias according to the media, who seem to stop at nothing to mention LeBron at every opportunity. Love the guy - but he needs to win a chip in LA, or elsewhere.
