Starship SN10 will be attempting a medium altitude test flight (~10 km). It will lift off from Boca Chica, Texas under the power of three Raptor engines. At apogee, it will flip into a horizontal configuration for descent. Prior to landing, it will ignite three of its Raptor engines to initiate the landing flip before shutting one down. SN10 will attempt a propulsive landing on the landing pad, potentially becoming the first Starship prototype to successfully do so.

Yes both of them

Case could be made for 4 flights, as the first landing had at least two bounces.
"soft" looked like it bounced on the space x footage to me, idk if thats just it throttling up at the last second. but I it didn't look soft to me. Still massively impressive, I expected a few more explosions before this. (I guess Im partially right).. haha

Great flight SN10! Great Full Stop Landing! Very impressive Touch and Blow afterwards...
These tests make me appreciate how crazy the Space Shuttle was. Crewed, on it maiden flight.
Because it had 20 years of development behind it and a budget 10x of the starship. All components were over engineered and tested independently. The design approach of SpaceX is diffrent, go fast as cheap as possible and break stuff to look at the pieces.
@@nukezat Also Columbia was first commanded by a veteran Apollo astronaut, John Young; that helped a bit I guess. But now SpaceX has truly a "confidence building approach", no doubt!! ;D
The explosion reminds me of when Tony Stark blew up his suits like fireworks for celebration in part 3
SN10 Was so happy it landed after serious PTSD of SN9 it decided to fly again
That was something else! What a rollercoaster ride of excitement these tests are!
This will be the fastest turnaround time of a rocket launch for a looong time
Ground Crew :- It's leaning and might fall over after defueling, will be to unsafe for us to go in.
Mission Control :- Ok.......BOOM......Problem Fixed.
Yeah, self-destruction is most likely what happened, I think. Whether it was remote-controlled or triggered by the inertial guidance is unknown.
Of course, a bad weld is also possible.
Yes
@@tomhsia4354 Would not of been on purpose, the flight termination system is higher on the rocket.
I'm pretty sure it was a methane leak combined with the fire that we saw when it was landing that causes the explosion
