Love your channel as I am brand new to the Tesla ecosystem! I'm still very confused with how Tesla opens its doors for passengers. When opening and closing doors for all passengers if I set the default to open only the driver's side. But, this is a pain when you have passengers who are coming along for the ride. If I unlock the car, sit down and close the door, and then press "unlock" on my driver door, it unlocks for all passenger, but my door opens again - making this a two step process - (unlock for passengers, and relocking my door). If I unlock the car, sit down and press one of the "lock" icons on the navigation screen - I have to first lock (one press) and then unlock (another press) to open the passenger doors. And, I also found that pressing the right stalk twice only works if I was in drive, and then press the stalk twice - the right stalk double press option assumes you were driving before - so this is only when you are finishing your ride and wanting to let out your passengers. The only way to open the doors for the passengers when entering the vehicle in ONE step is to hold the driver's door button down until you hear it chime, BEFORE closing my door. If you know of another way to open the doors for the passengers when ENTERING - in one step assuming the default (open only driver's side) - I would love to know..

Good thing to add about auto turn signals off is if you merged to left lane to make left turn and there is an arrow drawn on the pavement, then your turn signal will be still on until you finish your left turn, even though you technically went strait after merging left into turn lane ;)

Outstanding video, Chris. I didn’t know half this stuff existed. FYI, I just got my MY LR a week ago and we now have dome lights on either side of the hazard button and above each door in the passenger row. I didn’t even know they existed! They are turned off by default.

You can charge the '23 Tesla 3 standard to 100% with the LFP battery that the standard has. At least that's what I've read. Full charge is 272 miles.

Chris, do you have a video on safety features? I was just in La in good area off Melrose and on w forest knoll parked with my grandkids, I was in back seat and my son and daughter in law went to a store. I put the car in dog mode so it would stay cool and all of a sudden a black mercedes pulled up next to my new Model Y and 2 kids ( young men in hoodies) opened the front door and a one opened my hatch. I thought the car was locked in dog mode. The guy in front backed away when I yelled “what are you doing? Get out of my car”. the guy in the back opened the lower trunk and took my mobile charger and closed the hatch and they took off. No one was hurt, thankfully. I yelled “what are you taking? Bring it back”. They didn’t say anything. I have the sd card you suggested. But I don’t think car cameras captured anything, no sentry event.

I have a 2019 tesla model 3, for some reason no matter what settings i change, no other doors open when pressed in - i have to manually click unlock all doors on my drivers screen - this can get a bit annoying/embarrasing. Any ideas why this is happening? Thanks for this video though - its super informative!!

Thanks, I followed your directions on my new M3 and successfully entered my personal information and set my specifics and it works great. My problem is when I set up my wife’s iPhone, for whatever reason she still needs to use the Key Card. I deleted her phone and again tried to set her up again, still needs her Card.
In addition the Tesla App on her phone doesn’t work, it’s the basic App for understanding and/or buying a Tesla, not the one on my phone that shows all the individual settings e.g. Controls, Auto Pilot, Windows, Locks, etc. I uninstalled and reinstalled the Tesla App, nothing changed.
I know I must have screwed up something, can you help.

I’ve had my model 3 for just over a month, the only way I can open the other 3 doors is from the inside, drivers door is not a problem. Can the other doors be opened from the outside?
