@@musan23 No you are not. If you were to get an iPhone 12 now it would probably last you 10-15 years or maybe even longer than that if you take care of it properly and in its lifetime you would probably only have to do one battery replacement if your battery compacity gets really low.

The luckiest I got with a drop was I was going up stair, if fell out of my pocket and went through the railing and fell ~18 feet, landed perfectly flat, nothing cracked but below the first cm on the screen would not want to turn on, it would only if you let it sit 20, touch still worked so I found away around it for a week before it took it. Because there was no signs of accidental damage they covered it, this was like 5 weeks after i got the xs

This phone is world phenomenon. yesterday I was in my balcony and I live in the third floor and I got attacked by a giant hornet and guess what it slipped away of my hand and fell off from balcony with a single 15€ case and it survived with not a single scratch

I installed a pop grip to my phone with clear case, about a month ago. And my phone dropped under 3 ft and back ceramic glass broke. I believe that the pop grip could have been the cause of the damage.

I am curious if brand new, before the structural integrity is compromised by the shorter drops, it would survive the 10 foot front and back drops.
It only breaks when it slips from your hand while pulling out the charger.
I have Hawaweii 120$ phone y6II plastic body drop it from the bike at still position several times and 2 times from 10ft from bunker bed on tile floor, unfortunately third time its screen cracked little from outside again dropped it from there and again it's still same like that and still working with broken glass after 2 years, its a 6 years old phone i am using still running great

I have the Samsung Galaxy S20 as my main phone right now (had that phone since the day it came out) but gonna activate it once the Galaxy is paid off. @@miguelfelix6802 They protect against 6 foot drops or less which is realistic, even against concrete. That is impressive....it took an unrealistic 10 foot drop to create enough force to damage the screens or any internal components.......that's a win to me.

Changing my mind about aluminum alloys, they are very flexible and that can help during drops… steel alloys are so durable that it could actually cause issues on some drops.
I think the bigger deal is the durability of the glass tbh… Apple’s aerospace grade aluminum is a very good quality alloy too

So if either drops, a mini heart attack follows!
