"So you don't look like me" has a negative connotation: wear sunscreen so your skin doesn't turn dark like mine; dark = not good. I'm saying this not to exaggerate his joke or invalidate his feelings in any way but to point out something that has been a problem in asian countries since forever, internalized colorism. I also don't think is good to naturalize it and joke about it, I'm an EXO-L since debut and the amount of colorist jokes and comments Kai has received since the beginning is just disheartening. Anyways, just something to think about I guess.
