I dont mean to make a joke, but when Brian was trying to recount what the movie was about, it reminded me of when I didnt read a book I was supposed to in school and a part of our test was to talk about our favorite part/characters, I made up what I thought was the most elaborate details.. only to find out, teachers are not stupid; neither are interrogators. Someone even said “this is the second worst thing that can happen to a parent, right under losing a child”, which is precise, accurate, faultless, on the dot, clear-cut and explicitly what you’re saying.

Thank you it's so annoying that people will sometimes try and fall back on their age. I Love the scream movies, I've watched them since I was 16 as well. It never made me want to kill it only made me admire Sydney Prescott and how they focused on her as more than a scream queen of final girl and they emphasised on how she's a person who wants to try abd regain her life while healing. I love how the movies speak on how people treat victims of violent crimes like characters instead of real people, and how people sensationalize murder and violence as this mysterious forbidden thing instead of what it really is...an awful act committed by empty, moronic people. These two are morons who wanted to feel like somebodies

I honestly dk how you can change that part of you completely.

They saw themselves going out like Columbine, yet after Cassie was killed, it's like they realised there's more to it in real life, than Scream or whatever movie. Tory esp is crapping it. I always appreciate this channels content, it’s so thorough, interesting, and intelligently put together. I’ve been subscribed for a long time, and I’m watching this for a 2nd time nearly 2 years later… I just wish some of Cassie’s bf Matt’s interrogation was included. Maybe it wasn’t available 2 years ago..? Or maybe it wasn’t included bc he had nothing to do with her senseless murder. It’s so interesting to see his interrogation compared to the 2 guilty party’s though. He’s not very emotional, he’s one “last persons to see her” and the boyfriend, so clearly a suspect.. but he’s actually innocent and trying to help. He’s interrogated by the same 2 detectives, using the same tactics, yet he’s the only one with a parent who has the presence of mind to not only include herself in the interview, but to immediately stop it when she feels the need to.

Based on his initial interaction and the videos, he's had therapy (speech or otherwise) and is able to mostly control it in a relaxed state. Lying is stressful, whether from an adrenaline rush for pathological liars or anxiety for the guilty, and stress is often a trigger for people with stutters. Some people speak fine with their friends, but if they meet a stranger or have to give a public presentation, they stutter, because the latter situations are stress/anxiety inducing. It doesn't inherently mean a person is guilty, being questioned by police alone could induce someone's stutter, but in the case it is a very clear indicator he was lying. Maybe they try to support their son because of they feel like they failed as a parent and don't know how to react anymore. Maybe the admission that their son has committed horrible crimes and has a sick fetish connected to it, is something to difficult to face, in the same matter denial is a common reaction when you refuse to accept your beloved one died. They finally released the full video of his confession the night before this & Im telling you its a full two hours of Brian trying everything he can think of to manipulate the detectives & his parents into believing he was totally oblivious to Torreys true intentions. He claimed he never touched cassie but instead cowered in the other room while Torrey did everything alone. And he lied because torrey threatened to kill him next. He fake cries non stop. He even talks to cassie when hes alone in the room knowing theyre watching.
    Heres the best part.
The detectives want to take him home right then & want Brian to call Torrey while they record it hoping he will confess.
Of course he knows he can’t do it because Torrey will likely say something that conflicts with brians version.
Right before they leave its Brian and his mom alone and Brian suddenly exclaimed "mom! I just remembered something big!'
We buried the bag at blackrock!"
He spends the next 10 minutes acting like he can't believe he forgot that part.
And just like he hoped they ditch the call plan and go to Blackrock.

I went to school with all of these kids. I am a grade older, but I knew all of them well. Toris cousin is one of my best friends to this day. They were considered hyper and immature in school, and Tori would often quote family guy. Cassie used to talk to my on MySpace. They buried their stuff a block from my dad's house. This was a million years ago, but weird stuff happens like this all the time in this town. Some say it's haunted.

Love it when the murderer thinks they thought everything through to commit the perfect murder, only to realize how many gaping holes there are in their story when being interrogated.

I don't know I thought their plan was pretty fool proof. Just lie and say you were at the movies without knowing anything about the movie, not appearing in the theaters CCTV or being seen by any of the employees or patrons, not to mention being the last two people to see Cassie and Matt before she was brutally stabbed by two d*ck heads with a weird obsession with the scream movie. not to mention they literally recorded themselves confessing to the crime on camera.... I mean how could any of these detectives figured it out so quickly?!?! it's a miracle!

The fact that they switched the lights on and off scaring her making noise before they killed her is so horrifying. I can’t imagine the terror of not knowing who or what was there and the lights are flicking then two masked men come in with knives and start viciously stabbing you. I’m sure as they were communicating during the attack as said on the confession taped, she probably recognized their voices and couldn’t believe it was her own “friends” and literally she had done nothing to deserve it. Rest In Peace ☮️

This is the comment that I was looking for.. I can understand 16 year old boys being idiots and thinking they could really outsmart the detectives but are the parents idiots too?!! The one boys parents were IN THE ROOM with him and just let him struggle to hold his lies together... Surely they could tell he was lying.. The fact that nobody thought to stop the interrogation and ask for a lawyer is beyond belief to me.. The boys dad at one point even apologizes to the son saying “I should have spoke to you before.. I didn’t know you were worried about breaking into cars”… GENUIS these cops are here for a MURDER not a damn stolen wallet.. you need to get your child out of that room immediately!!!
