Our set piece issues have been largely due to our midfield and offensive players. Aside from Richy, all of them can go through a game without heading the ball from an offensive or defensive corner. It's like they think everyone else will do it for them

High line only works when two propositions are true. Proposition 1: The opposition team isn't a defensive team Proposition 2: we have a very quick fallback, not Emerson chicken royale. The teams that we beat at the start of the season with the high line are arguably all attacking teams with the exception of Liverpool. But we only beat them because they lost 2 players from red cards. If the team is more defensive, we need to not play ange ball and move to counter football for that game, it's the only way.

I feel like part of the issue is the midfield, imagine if we could match and maintain the same midfield intensity of Liverpool squad from a few years ago. Having a stronger rotation of aggressive pressing and press resistant midfielders would definitely help, it's frustrating seeing players like Hojberg win back the ball and then pass it straight back to the opposition. Despite having great possession statistics, we need a true 6 that can help control and dictate play. We create a ton of chances, but the forwards need to be far more clinical to help kill off games.

We lost a Bissouma and we lost everything. If the holding midfielder is deficient, we become open. What Mainoo plays currently for Man U is what is responsible for their good form. As soon as Mainoo was discovered, their game changed. Bissouma started like a beast, pride took over and he switched off. Since then, we've struggled. If he cannot lick up, we need to find another Bissouma. Or another Moussa Dembele that can dictate the game and link midfield with attack.
