The spontaneity of these co-hosts is a gift to the audience. Their chemistry is awesome. The friendship is palpable. I love that Mark Consuelos will sit court with Kelly. It is always a treat when Mark fills in as a guest co-host. My hat is off to Ryan for flying between the east and west coasts for as long as he has. I'm glad Ryan has agreed to fill in occasionally as co-host. It is rare for an annoucement of this kind to be beneficial to all concerned. Touché!

I quit watching this show a few years ago. I can’t handle Kelly. Even in this goodbye, she made it about her. No wonder her co hosts don’t stay.

What is there to celebrate. This show is complete DUD because these two NEVER talk about anything current outside of Joaquin's wrestling matches and Ryans dog Georgia. There is NEVER any commentary on anything happening in the universe in any way. They are struggling to get thru host chat because how many day after day , week after week, year after year can you only talk about your own lives? It could not be more lazily produced. Kelly doenst want to do any homework (i.e reading a newspaper or listening to the news) so it is easier to stroll in and make those first 20 minutes a snoozfest. They are the only show in NY that isnt filming with studio audience. That 9am is prime TV real estate and is unfathomable that ABC keeps this dead train going year after year. All that said, i love Ryan and think he is brilliant. Wasnt his fault. It was Gelman and the very lazy Kelly Ripa who is driving this to a quick grave....Wake up ABC and cancel this and bring us something new......
Yes the people who have anything to do with this show are all lazy. They even play the audience. Sad they don't know how to be in front of a live audience. It is called Live isnt it?
lets tell the truth - the ratings were muchhhh higher when her hubby cohost - I never really thought Ryan and her mixed that well than her hubby - I only watch if her hubby was on and I am darnnnn sure people did too - and the network ceos knew and know that -- so it was time- -

Ryan will be missed with Kelly but exciting that Mark is taking over, he was in the past as a guest co host but now he will be there permanently, still at times they have other guest co hosts if he is unable to join.
Kelly is brilliant, comedic, witty just like all male night time talk hosts. Ryan has good stories but, he is a "One" man show. He doesnt have the patience to listen to his co-host stories. He was constantly interrupting her and putting his own words & sentences to complete "HER" stories. He would accuse Kelly " Why are you yelling". Little bickering that was noticeable to me, the viewer. He is NOT happy unless he has all the gigs on TV. They have a name for that behavior. He is 48, drinks many caffeine coffee drinks a day, getting sick alot working bi-coastal. Bound to take a toll on him. It's about time Disney Executives made an exit plan for Ryan. I believe he was canned and they allowed him to say "I" Am Resigning and having Ryan's girlfriend there on Thursday was so orchestrated. NOW, we can have our funny, witry, comical story teller Kelly BACK!!!
I’ve always hated endings... I’m an emotional person! I start my day watching LIVE, it’s my daily routine. I have loved Ryan being a part of the show. I love how he has become a part of Kelly’s family, it’s like she’s sending one of her kids to college again 😢. I will miss him dearly but I’m sure Mark will be a great replacement ❤️

I miss Regis
Although "Seacrest Out", he really should have never been in. He already had a job as host of American Idol. What is with hiring people who already have great gigs? How about those we don't see much who could use a comeback? Enough with the Mayim Bialiks, Steve Harveys, Nick Cannons, Will Smiths, and others who seem to be doing everything. And enough with nepotism, which explains Mark getting the job. What next, giving their kids segments on the show?

While I think Mark is a great and obvious choice, I think he and Kelly are missing an opportunity to do something different and more interesting. Kelly should call it a day (23 years?!) and she and Mark should instead do a completely different type of talk show or TV series. That said, I'm she's done it so long, it's easy and A LOT of money- golden handcuffs.

To be honest, the last time I saw this show, Regis was still alive. To my eyes now, these two TV personalities look a bit older.
They did get old. Kelly Ripa kind of changed the clothes she's wearing once she had all the kids leave the house. She looks about 10 years older. Quit wearing the mini skirts and 30 something dresses. Show has been years without an audience. At least now the guests come on set. Ryan is 6 years her junior. But he is now 47 and she is 53.

Regis was too old when he left. Since then Michael Strahan left after three years. Ryan is leaving after five almost six years. It was tough and he had to move his radio show to New York City. He had to also go to Los Angeles to do American idol. He then also for a while had to go back to the red carpets. But left E! And they then moved to New York City, but many award shows he did were still in Los Angeles. I think he only accepted the show because Ripa wouldn't come back without him. In other words she was going to quit. I expect her not to last very long anyways. She just hit 20 years on the show 18 months ago.
