- No Dad this week so Mum took Ollie to his game and warmed him up. Ollie didn't have a great game but his communication is getting so much better. Weeks like this happen, he's only 7 so is learning more each week

@@fatherandsongoalkeepingobjectively he’s very advanced for a 7 year old and is hitting his marks in a variety of areas including sweeping, the feet, 1v1s and dives.
It’s interesting the change which has happened in the last 10 years. They used to say it was a very bad idea for a kid this young to play full time in goal without time on the field. But even the academies now are recruiting kids for the keeper role as early as u8.
Awesome mum! Welll done all around brings me back to my youth days playing and to have this much support is so cool to see. Look forward to seeing your name in the premier league big guy 🤙🤙

Evening guys another great video,
My 7 yr old also an Ollie and also a goalkeeper was invited by a scout to train with a pro south London side after his game game yesterday, I’m really not sure if he is to young for that kind of pressure, have you any thoughts on this? Some people are saying to go for it as the training will be good but I can’t help to think how the rejection which more than likely will come at some stage will effect him.
