3 cups of wheat flour (300 g)
1 glass of water (200 ml)

Iโm a grilled cheese girl, terrifying Wonder Bread type bread, Kraft American cheese, some butter, a frying pan, and some Lipton packaged chicken noodle soupโฆthatโs comfort foodโฆso bad for youโฆso tasty. However, I was an exchange student to France (from the US) when I was in high school, and I cried on the phone to my mother that I couldnโt stand going back to eating the gross food that Americans eat after living there, lol! Itโs true. I love that comfort food, bread itself is comfort food, but itโs also why Iโm more interested in cooking now, as I donโt like living on easy access processed junk. I realize that in the US, I have this privilege, that many people donโt, and that should be changed. (P.S., my favorite use for PB is on graham crackers, yaaassss!)

It is Lachcha Paratha from South Asia.
This is lachchha paratha(Ring pan fried Bread) . One of the types of paratha, which is a famous bread in North India . In India, rings or dough coils are made of single piece instead of rolling one over the other, which is difficult considering stuffing used in it. Also, vegetables and spices are used in different ways as stuffing. However, even this recipe looks good.

Honestly... this is Lachha Paratha but you made it perfectly ๐ฏ๐ฏ in India we use coriender, cumin seeds and spices instead of green onion.. But i like this also... will make it with green onion next time

It looks so delicious. But the effort. Oh, my goodness. I don't have that energy any more. I wish I had a huge crowd of relatives who liked to cook. Nope. And I don't have the patience. I made a pie many, many, many years ago and it took me all afternoon. It was gone in one sitting after dinner. Never did it again. Don't think I'm lazy, because I used to sing for thousands and that takes a lot of effort, getting ready, and practicing for weeks. But cooking. I think you have to love doing something to spend so much time doing it.

I use to sing too. I cook all the time. I hate it, but i can lol. Itโs far far farrrr more tiring than singing and dancing combined. This dish specifically leaves me with back pain. Standing in a kitchen for over 2 hours always leaves me in back pain. This is my families favorite breakfast though so i make it for brunch fridays, saturdays, and sundays. I hate making it but i do it because its delicious and absolutely no one else i live with (mostly kids anyway) can cook.
I feel the same. I just don't enjoy standing in the kitchen for hours on end preparing foods which will be eaten in a flash.
Although I'm the main cook at home, as I'm getting older and I value my time more and more, I tend to make meals that involve as little prep as possible and don't use a lot of equipment and if we want something special to eat we go out.
The last thing I made which took considerable time was a Bakewell tart, I made it extra large in the hope it would last longer but everyone just had larger portions and wolfed them down, I also then had a tonne of clearing up to do to boot.
These breads look DELICIOUS, but like you, I need to find some friends that actually enjoy the process of cooking lol, I prefer gardening.
Wow! You sound exactly like me! Yes, I was a singer, too. Now, at 72, with health problems, I just donโt care to cook anymore. Fortunately, my hubby is good about it; but, it isnโt so good for our weight! You can buy something like this at Trader Joeโs if youโre near one. Itโs called Malabari Paratha, and itโs in the cold case. I freeze the package of 4, and take them out as needed, and do them in a little 8โ skillet. They need very little butter or oil, cuz I think they are loaded with gee. Probably not as good as the ones demonstrated here, because they have no onion filling. But you can put onions or whatever on them as you choose. ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ

GiselleBel. you are right it's a lot of work but being a recipe's most important thing it's flavor I would do it as other people have shown. Just go until minute 8.46 take that tortilla or flat bread whatever name you want and put it on a heated pan with some kind of fat. Let it brown a little bit turn it to the other side and that's it. A flat bread with good flavor, the cutting and the rolling is not necessary. Some people just pile up two of these to make them thicker. It's just flour and green onions with salt and some butter. Presentation is up to you. Some people add crushed bacon or cheese or whatever to add flavor.
