- Whilst there has been a lot of attention to the EU's AI Act, other pieces of legislation in the EU's digital agenda have been quietly (perhaps) hitting the statute book. The Data Act (with broad extra territorial scope) is now in its transitional phase with a full coming into effect in September 2025. This will extend "GDPR-like" rights (such as access and portability) to data within connected devices and related services even if the data is not personal and the user is a corporate. There are also important provisions relating to interoperability and cloud contracts.
Join us as we explore these important developments and give pointers to getting ready.

Marvelous! The Data Act does not get any attention at all. Even the "big" IT-Players in Germany do not realise that they are affected by the regulation with their online services. Same and even worse with the Digital Service Act. The latter is at least somewhat implementable in comparison to the Data Act.
