Their vocals...the visuals
This was their first song I heard and I was so shocked by how high quality the song was. It did not seem like a typical kpop song. The vocals were very strong and the melody and production. Listened to their album and rooting for then.

FIFTY-FIFTY music and vocals reminds me of some western nor european singers that are soloist and them are just singing their heart out, they dnt give a F_ if they are underrated soloist artist as long as they produce their music and spread to everyone.

@@donatdonatan4996 I almost agree with you. It just makes no sense to "Minnie and Soojin sound similar". Soojin's voice is light, soft, and Minnie's voice is thick and sweet. You can say both sound sexy but you can't say they are similar tho. Minnie's vocal color can fit in many genres meanwhile Soojin one is best for sexy and feminine concepts.

Songs like "Loving Me" was very popular in 2016-17. Hit songs like "The Middle and "Stay" by Zedd. Martin Garrix "There for you", Name of Love", "Ocean", "Scared to be lonely". If you want to hear this music in K-pop I recommend listening to all the popular groups music back in 2016 - 2019.
Fifty Fifty's album is one of the most perfect albums I've ever seen, it's a shame it doesn't get the hype it deserves.
Hopefully they'll have a good follow up comeback and blow up even more. Apparently they'll release it this month according to one of their company staff

For a smaller group like this to have such a solid and cohesive discography right off the bat is pretty impressive. And the members’ vocals also sound pretty strong too. One of the best debuts this year and we got many debuts from small companies, like Irris, Mimiirose, Fifty Fifty, Lapillus, CSR, H1 Key and Ily:1. Fr i like many of them but Lovin me is better than every track from these groups(imo)

it feels bittersweet as I discovered these girls with 200,000 monthly listeners before Cupid and was really excited to see if they would attain success. sad there was all the drama because of them blowing up :(
I just learned what happened and I am so heart broken about it. They were legit the first group in a long time to get me excited for what the future might hold for them. Their sound was so unique and different from what is out there.

I'm already working on a remix. And of course the end of the MV, I feel like there's some lore there that I don't understand yet.

when it was recommended to me on spotify i didn't realize it was a k-pop group. i was surprised when i suddenly heard korean. and i've been listening to k-pop for 20 years and no this really isn't typical k-pop, no, of no generation. not that no song ever sounded like it. but it does remind me of a mix of certain great western pop eras.
The funny thing is that I listened to this song and thought it sounded very Scandinavian, and I was right! Sweden songwriters for the win! 💜
