Yeah but the show isn't made for other people's specifications. Alvin is just replicating food from other chefs how they normally are, and not changed. This is the point of the show. How Tony will react to these burgers if he was to buy them himself, He might not like most of them since they include onions in the burgers.

@Dr.Drinking taste is subjective I find onions in any form extremely overpowering. I might use half an onion for a whole pot of spaghetti sauce. It just over powers everything so easy to me. I like to fry my burgers with onions in the pan so they pick up just a little flavor.

You can’t do that with negative comments coming from the guest brought on with intentions to do that. It is that 95% or more of people don’t know what it takes to make a near perfect food product. I think that Alvin is a genuinely good chef, a nice guy, and very knowledgeable. That being said, Sean, please give this guy some training/advice in giving interviews. I’m sure that he’s just nervous, but he’s not very knowledgeable about guests and doesn’t connect with them, but alienates them. Your show has to be flexible to accommodate the guests. If goddamned Tony Hawk doesn’t like onions and bleu cheese, give him a burger without it! Improvise, dude. The issue is that this lack of connection makes this show awkward and borderline unwatchable.

MNBassHound no If a customer, especially a high profile customer, specifies their preference, it is the chef’s job to follow through with their requests in order to deliver the best dining experience for them. It is not up to the chef to try to sneak in unwanted ingredients just because they might think its good that way. The customer is always right.
Furthermore, the production team should have discussed Tony’s food preference prior to filming, and chosen burgers that fit more to his personal taste. Theres tons of celebrities out there, many of whom Im sure are fine with onions, if they were insisting on doing 3 burgers with onions, maybe they shouldve found a different guest star.

I feel like this is a show I’ve always wanted to watch and have been waiting for my whole life but never knew I did until right now.
I like how Tony repeatedly hinted towards not liking onions, yet almost every burger had them. Also did you notice how Tony seemed like he liked a regular burger over all of these. Like none of them was he like Oh this is my goto now. He was more like It's good but it's missing this, or it's a game changer, but I was expecting something that didn't come. And last but not least. This levels the playing field, not tips it over.
I love Tony Hawk and I love burgers, but this host just didn't really seem to be very good in my opinion. I felt like Tony Hawk really carried this interview when it should typically be the host's job.

@Nemesis_ Zer0 That's why you wouldn't be a good weapons engineer, just like this dude is not a good chef. A good chef will not cook a dish if he doesn't know precisely what the ingredients are and what is the best way to cook them. Just because he can cook doesn't mean he's a good chef, because a chef is there to manage the kitchen and design the menu. Same goes for guns, even a kid can construct a gun from pre-built components. Designing a weapon from scratch on the other hand requires extensive knowledge.
