For a girl who's been blasted on the web and in the media time and again for never smiling, she sure seemed happy sitting with Sean.
I think she just doesn’t do well with disinterested or arsehole journos.
Which is fair enough. She was comfortable here though, so she could let a bit more of her personality shine through. It’s funny, the reputation she has with the public, of being a boring, stuck up, emotionless wooden board (I think most of that was Twilight’s fault, but she literally just played the character as it was written, so I don’t hold that against her). But when I’ve heard from people she’s worked with, they say she’s easy to get along with, laid back, but also professional. And from this interview, I can see it.

Kristen is so intelligent, witty, authentic and very charming. What I always loved about her is the fact she never tried to copy anyone, there was always the originality, authenticity, honesty and warming heart you could feel all those things about her no matter what stage of life we saw her in. She has developed a lot through years and I am so glad she became this strong, self confident woman! :-)

When you understand social anxiety, you can see she eventually gets comfortable with him/his interview to feel like she can be herself. Pretty cool
easier to say if someone only has social anxiety. mix that with a spectrum disorder like ADHD, depression, or autism and you got yourself a way harder battle to fight. often not being able to trust others for fear of being blown up on, simply for being misunderstood. along with trouble expressing your emotions to others in a way you see fit

I’ve always loved that she has never been the person to be super down with the fame and fortune, she just wants to act and loves the film industry and it’s so cool to see her doing what she loves and living a relatively normal/out of the spotlight kind of life. It makes me feel relieved for her

Now that she's explained why she's anxious in interviews, I totally get it. She only wants to share things that matter to her with people who are as sincere about it as her. As that's like 5% of interviewers, no wonder she clams up. Why share yourself with people who aren't genuinely interested in you and your craft?

I would like to see her do an interview with Ali Plumb from BBC. If you look at his interview with other actors and filmmakers, he's a great interviewer and totally respect the people that he interviewed them. I just watched Charlie's angel and watched a bunch of other cast interviews before this one and I noticed something truly heartwarming which is how much more comfortable and happy Kristen's entire body language gets once Ella and Niomi (especially Niomi) get on screen.
I could watch and listen to Kristen all day. She's so cool. Amazing what she's accomplished in her short life...I don't think she gets enough credit for how talented she is.

This is true but Kristen is never anyone but Kristen. Sean did make her feel more at ease though, because he’s sincere, intelligent & prepared. Sometimes you can really tell how uncomfortable & bored she is during interviews because the interviewer is a vapid twat with nothing worthwhile to say!

I legit just tweeted about how much respect I have for her ability to stay chill, down to earth and totally relatable in the face of her fame and ALL of the shit that's been said at and about her. And this episode is such a good representation of that.

What impressed me the most was the interviewer's ability to create a comfortable and open environment, allowing for a candid and insightful conversation whilst eating hot food!!. The questions went beyond the surface level, delving into the nuances of the actor's experiences, skills, and thought processes.
Her eyes are extraordinary!
Hot Ones is low-key a generational interview series that tops almost any conventional media outlet, which feature interviewers and questions that, as Kristen pointed out, are utterly dispassionate and disingenuous. When you share in an endeavor like surviving hot wings while being asked thoughtful questions that require research and effort, guest open up more and you get a better sense of who they are as people. This show has opened up classically misunderstood people like Shia and Kristen and I fucking love it.

My favorite part of this interview is when she tastes the "da bomb" and is actually verbalizing how it's not actually as bad as she thought, but you can see at 14:23 where it actually kicks in. I'm sure most people watching this have tried da bomb, but that's exactly how it works, especially for people who aren't bothered by a lot of spicy stuff.
Watched a lot of these shows and I truly think this is the best one. The two gals at the end was not expected and absolutely outstanding. Thank you.

I think one of the best things about this show is that, beyond the hilarious hook of the hot sauce, Sean is one of the most genuine and kind interviewers in the business.
I don't think Sean Evans realizes how charming of a lad he is.
He's a nice guy, but he is fully aware of how to turn on the charm.

The moment when the heat hits... I think it's the most startling moment for the people interviewed. It's different per person, so it's really enlightening... kind of a little window into how they compose themselves.

@star she played it well, she's awkward often in interviews she got that covered in this one also from what she was saying seemed like she saw couple of interviews before doing the show ,i have been watching it for a while da bomb gets everyone worse and she took smallest bite of that
This interview felt so good to watch! What an experience to share and to feel part of by watch such an in depth interview.
I've watched so many of these, and so far, Kristen is by far and way my favorite guest and episode.

"Sentences end. And then more hot wings happen." Inadvertent meta statement there, considering the last question. I love it. That, and the Hannibal lip smacking when things started to get intense.
I get extremely happy whenever someone compliments sean on his interviewing because it’s so true.
One of the things I like about him is that he never ask annoying questions or something that make the guest uncomfortable. He just let the wings do the torture.
She seemed to have been a lot more comfortable here than in other interviews, strangely.

Lydomina I think it has more to do with the question about being interviewed that she got. Sean is a real person who finds things to be interested in about his guests and so is genuine in his interviews. Most of the late night hosts and entertainment “reporters” are fake as fuck and just going through the motions. Welp, didn’t intend to write that much haha.
TLDR Sean is a great interviewer, that’s why.
