HERE IS THE MILLION-DOLLAR QUESTION: Will you go to Heaven when you die? Here's a quick test: Have you ever lied, stolen, or used God's name in vain? Jesus said, ”Whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” if you have done these things, God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart and the Bible warns that one day God will punish you in a terrible place called H***. But God is not willing that any should perish. Sinners broke God's law and Jesus paid their fine. This means that God can legally dismiss their case: ”For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Then Jesus rose from the dead, defeating death. Today, repent and trust Jesus, and God will give you eternal life as a free gift. Then read the Bible daily and obey it. God will never fail you!

      @@Novastar.SaberCombat Smith *is* him.
Agents "absorb" some of the code of the things they kill, because their job is to track down anomalies - so they're hoping to absorb stuff like knowledge on resistance hideouts. Neo is just SUCH an anomaly that the code Smith absorbed gave him, for lack of a better work, humanity.
That's the connection, and you can see it visually. In the Matrix, everything fake is tinted green, while humans are naturally coloured - Neo's suit, for example, is actually black once he embraces his role as The One, as with Trinity and Morpehus' outfits once they become stronger in later movies. Smith stops being green-tinted once he absorbs Neo. Because Smith has become human.

The effects don't seem outdated at all. Even Star Wars (1977) looks better than tons of overdone, over-saturated, overused CGI festivals. Legitimate filmmaking knows when the acting, dialogue, and close-ups do the heavy lifting.
Also, Reeves obviously worked BEYOND hard on being precise with the actions the choreographer (Yuen Wo-Ping) required. Trust me, I understand... I choreographed and performed LIVE fight work for two decades.

@@tarikay93 There are still pretty great overall. The ambition of having hundreds of smiths fight Neo would be a big task today. In the early 2000's it was crazy. The practical stuff with the lookalikes and blurring works better than the cg of course but they wanted to push the fight even further which required CG. It didn't even look fantastic at the time but it's still a very impressive set piece. This is one of the best action sci fi movies ever made. The first matrix is still a better overall movie but the action in this movie is among the best ever made.

What's interesting is that during this scene there's other gangs of "Smith Viruses" all over the Matrix world causing chaos, assimilating blue pills, and slowly snowballing out of control. Like in this clip regular Agents of the system are going to notice this and will have no choice but to take over blue pill bodies to try and stop him, getting assimilated themselves in the process. I'd love to see the unseen massive global battle that took place between Smith and the Machines with blue pill military support over the course of the 2 sequel films, watching as the Machines/blue pill armies slowly start to lose control to Smith and not knowing what to do... until Neo breaks into 01 with a deal.

The thing I love about this fight, is that so often in Martial Arts movies when your fighting multiple guys, is that they all "take turns" so your really fighting one on one. But in this it looks like a true mob attack. Neo is hit from multiple sides, often grappled by one while another is punching him, etc. Its really creative and very rarely replicated even today.

Man everyone tries to play it cool and say they loved the first film the most and all the sequels were shitty or not as good as the original, first movie was great, but reloaded was always my favorite as far as having fun and enjoying all the various action scenes, expanding the matrix lore, but not having to get as technical and decisive as part three had to being the conclusion at the time. This was literally the point where we all were thinking any and everything was possible after the great first movie and we all had no idea where this story was going, but damn was it a blast watching it unfold one crazy scene at a time all the way up until the cliffhanger ending that left you wanting more, but still really satisfied with the awesome rollercoaster of a ride you just went on with this film.
This scene in particular is my favorite fight in the entire franchise. It is just one of the most hyped scenes in any of the matrix movies that hits the perfect blend of over the top fun while remaining cool the entire time, it almost leaves you wanting more, but intelligently cuts off before it gets too repetitive, it's simply just fun to watch especially the first time seeing it, I still remembering sitting there an awe watching it during the midnight showing when it first came out. Far more exciting than the actual final showdown in part three between neo and smith. There is just something about the way the music hits the entire time, how effortlessly and cool neo looks beating the shit out of all the smiths however its all for nothing as they keep getting back up as well as more and more joining in making it all really pointless, but damn if didn't look fun and cool. It's like neo knew it was most likely time to run away very early into the fight, but he was just having too much fun bouncing them around like pinballs that he stayed until he was literally out of room to throw them around. Classic stuff.

There’s actually an underlying discussion of free-will vs causality. Smith is indicating he is aware of his (and Neo’s) compulsion to follow seemingly preordained events. This is mostly true because similar events occurred in previous versions of the matrix. Smith and the Merovingian believe in causality and Neo believes in free will. This isn’t a bad line, it’s a simple way of conveying that concept.

Newer action movies are so fucking dry and dour 100% of the time, but that wasn't always the case. James Cameron poured a lot of cheese into his action flicks and that's why they're so good.

This scene in particular makes Matrix Reloaded one of the best sequels ever made, despite the naysayers. One of the greatest villain dialog, one of the greatest and most inventive fight. It makes the second half of the scene when the CGI becomes real obvious painful, as this is otherwise a masterclass in cinema. Small detail that always bothered me, the reflection of the light panels in Smith sunglasses. It is distracting but when I watch it again I now pretend it's just reflecting the limit of what the Matrix is processing for this particular scene - so Smith gives us a glimpse at the limits of the visual Matrix on the sides...

I enjoyed Resurrections, but I felt that one of the biggest flaws was recasting Smith. They handled the replacement of Morpheus well (justified him being different), but Smith didn't act anything like Smith. It's not just a matter of not copying the exact mannerisms (like the other actor did in Revolutions), but everything about the attitude and characterization was just so different that it never read as the same character. My first preference would have been to keep Hugo Weaving (de-age him if you must, they can do that very effectively these days), or at least have the new actor try to sell him being the same character.

Arismafia Mafiaiskandar Only he wasn’t emotionless in the first one... Unlike the rest of the agents that were just doing what they were programmed for, he truly and deeply hated humans, especially Neo.
The scene where he keeps torturing Morpheus and the way he takes off his head piece, signifying that he wasn’t taking orders any more, is proof of this.
He even makes a speech about why he hates them. It’s what really sets him apart from other agents. It’s why he didn’t die when Neo tried to destroy him.
Any other agent would have been erased permanently, but smith was an anomaly among agents.
Because of this he went on to become a virus in the matrix itself after Neo attempted to end him.

It's a bit less complicated than theory that other youtubers are trying to say. I'll try to explain it as i can. Sorry for my shitty english. So, get ready.. here we go..
Only 4 person in this world knows about matrix versions - Architect, Oracle, Smith, Merov.
Architector and Oracle are not connected to the mainfraim of matrix which is why they know it's a 6th version of Zion (yes, Zion is the Matrix as well) and 6th version of Neo and Smith. So everytime Matrix reloads, they know each one matrix version from start to end.
The whole plot of Matrix happened because Architector couldn't find the best way to fix a problem of choice in order to stabilize Matrix, so in order to shake things a bit, Oracle created anomaly. Architect will figure this out only at the end of third film. "You are playing dangerous game" (c) Architector
In theirs 6th meeting Architector specifically said to Neo (in a programm language btw), that he (NEO) is the result (created because of) of anomaly, which he can't comprehend entirely and can't deal with (with anomaly). This anomaly is the programm - Smith. He was created by Oracle in order to force Architect hand, so he would create the ONE(essentially.. antivirus with admin access). He didn't specify the anomaly, because he don't know what it is. The anomaly is not connected to mainfraim (Architector can't see it), which mean - machines can't do shit about it. He is invincible and invisible to them, they can't delete him, they can't do anything to him. Unkillable virus.
Neo was manipulated by Oracle in order to encounter Smith, while Smith was supposed to encounter the ONE in order to be rewrited by him to get admin access to the matrix without connecting to the mainframe. This created a threat to matrix, because Smith can now destroy it. Architect created Neo with such admin access (power of the ONE we see in the movie) in order for him to eventually fix the anomaly. But he never knew that Oracle manipulated them both and she is the one responsible for love interest of Neo. Her plan was to create the best situation, in which machines will have to get help from Human, in order to get their hands on anomaly and kill it - saving matrix. And by that machines and humans will be forced to achieve peace. That's what you see in the end. A human made a deal with a machines, to sacraficed himself so machines could destroy anomaly, save matrix and free everyone by ending war. The prophecy was never real, it was created to manipulate and confuse everyone (including viewers). Oracle knew that Neo have admin acces, because he was created by Architect to fix anomaly that she created. So she manipulated him in a way, that would allow to Smith get this blessing power of complete access to matrix after theirs final encounter. And that's why Smith could destroy the matrix. She manipulated everyone starting with Architector himself. To achieve peace.
      It's really that easy.

      @@MrZlocktar It makes sense,but i don't understand something.
Smith is the anomaly, the virus, and Neo is cure.
But Smith when he turns Neo into a Smith clone,he corrupted the cure and due to the fact that he couldn't handle it,he explode and killing himself
My lack of understanding is this:
When neo first cures smith is in the end of the first one
Why did Smith survive and still was corrupted or was the anomaly,if he was cured in a way by neo in the first one?

@@Chanunaitor01 In the first film Smith was disconnected from mainfraime but has no administration access to matrix to copy or overwrite anything. The last encounter with Neo is what gave him this access. In the ending, When Smith overwrites Neo into another Smith, he connects himself back to matrix mainframe (because Neo entered matrix from it's mainframe), so system can now find him and delete for good. And that's exactly what Neo and machines were agree on to achieve peace. That's what happened when entire matrix of Smiths reloads in the ending scene.

I just love how Neo's sarcastic congratulations gets absolutely misunderstood by Smith as a real congratulatory gesture. It's just so funny, but it makes a lot of sense.
