Jimin was, and still is, a professional contemporary dancer. He puts his ALL into his dance moves, that's what makes them look soo etheral and natural.
Actually his first job is singer & his current dancing repertoire is mostly not contemporary. So he isn't a professional contemporary dancer. Professional dancers practice everyday. Slack for a day & they will lose their form. Jimin doesnt have that luxury of time, his schedule is packed with 1001 thing. Even RM said if he doesn't leave his contemporary dance training he will be at the very top. So for Jimin to be able to kill his contemporary dance moves show how naturally talented he is & the sheer amount of dedicated time he put into it. An amazing human being.
@@sariel8406 I hear you but I do agree and disagree in some areas. Reason being because I'm a retired contemporary dancer, so I may not practice the art everyday like I have in the past. However, I am still qualified as a "professional" of the arts. Similarly with Jimin, he may not practice everyday like he's been accustomed to, but that doesn't mean the skill or knowledge is lost.He is still a professional in the art and we see his outstanding and graceful skills every time he moves. (Also why he's my bias lolll😂😂😂)

Natural_ Beautae But Jimin was never really a contemporary dancer like you. He studied it in dance school for 2 years then he got recruited by BH. So he never got the chance to explore it as a career. I would say he has contemporary background and has definitely retained what he learned but I wouldn’t classify him as a pro.

Exactly. I know that BTS has two main dancers and their lead dancer is very good too (BTS dance line is one of the best in kpop) but this style is definitely for Jimin and absolutely nobody in BTS can slay it like he did.

I think the shadow fading at the end was the fact that they have finally accepted their shadows and have become one with them. Did you see how satisfied JK was when he turned and walked away? It was as though with acceptance came relief.

The part where you told Jimin to sit down is a dance move called an illusion. It's really hard to pull off if you're not prepared for it and dancers have hurt themselves even with lots of practice. I replayed that part so many times bcoz I couldn't believe my eyes the first time o_O
