Crying today. April 8 is my birthday, never celebrate them. But was going to celebrate this one because it marks 20 Years since I left an abusive childhood home by an angry single father in my teens. All I wanted was a nice dinner, flowers, friends and a day off work.But that won't happen, I work in Healthcare and will be on the front lines against this virus on my birthday. I scraped and struggled for 20 years all to take care of myself and I did it.

My twin brother passed away just a couple weeks ago, this song always brings me such bittersweet memories. He showed me this song, this version specifically. He loved it so much, he’d play it and sing along to it 24/7. He always smiled when he sang it, it was one of his absolute favorites. When I first listened to her, I thought it was a middle-aged white man.
I lost my best friend because of suicide. I went through a tuff time. I was addicted to drugs and alcohol she was everything for me. I had a suicide attempt too but now 9 years later I am proud to tell that I am clean , that I have a job , that I found true love. This was her fav song. And every-time I hear it I remember her face, her smile and it just warms my heart. She would be proud of me. For me being someone. I miss her and love her. So you if you read this tell your loved ones you love them. You never know when it’s to late. Don’t take life so serious it’s get better with time. I love you
