Fortnite Impostors is a mode for a maximum of ten players: eight Agents maintaining The Bridge and two Impostors out to overtake it. Let’s take a look at how these roles play out.
The facilities powering The Bridge are a well-oiled machine, and it's up to Agents of the Imagined Order to keep it that way. Complete Assignments like calibrating chests and llamas, repairing the Battle Bus, and delivering Storm reports for analysis. Finish your Assignments quickly and be on the lookout for dubious Impostors or eliminated allies. Complete all Assignments or vote out all Impostors and claim victory for IO.
Work together to root out anyone masquerading as a fellow Agent, but trust nobody completely - anyone could be an Impostor. If you find a fellow Agent’s eliminated fragment, report it! Everyone will be teleported to The Bridge where you can inform Agents who you suspect might have betrayed the IO and vote them out.
The Impostors’ goal is simple - eliminate enough Agents to take control of The Bridge before being discovered. You’ll have plenty of tools up your sleeve to sow chaos along the way.
Disable Assignments - Temporarily freeze progress on all Assignments, buying you precious time.
Teleport Players - Relocate all Agents and Impostors to somewhere else on The Bridge, covering your tracks.
Peely Party - For a short time, all Agents and Impostors look like Peely so you can blend in with the crowd!
Like Agents, Impostors will have a list of Assignments they can complete to earn everyone’s trust. Be cautious, though: for every Assignment you finish, you inch the Agents closer to their completion goal.
Players can queue up with any party size and any remaining slots will be filled. To keep gameplay fair and fun, public voice chat is disabled in Impostors but you can still talk in party chat; use Emotes and the Quick Chat menu to communicate with all players.
Only want to play with your group of friends? Select the “Private” option when queuing into Impostors and as few as four players in your party can launch into their own custom game, though for the best experience we suggest 10 players. Starting a game with four to seven total players will only have one Impostor, while eight or more will have two Impostors. Also, you can change your party settings by selecting the Gear icon in your Friends list to:
limit others from joining your party to just people you invite (Private).
limit your party to your friends, and their friends can join without invite (Friends Only). Let anyone join your party (Public).
Sometimes you’ll need to Force a Discussion to check in on fellow Agents and discuss the Impostor infiltration. Discussions can be called by finding an eliminated Agent and reporting it or by interacting with the Discussion panel in The Bridge’s center room. During discussions, Agents and Impostors can share information with each other via Emotes and a brand-new Quick Chat menu, asking contextual questions about who was doing what and accusing suspicious candidates for ejection.
At the end of each Discussion, Agents and Impostors will vote to either eject someone from The Bridge or to skip their vote for that Discussion. Consider others’ accusations and objections carefully: if the person voted out was actually an Agent, then Impostors are one step closer to eliminating everyone. Sometimes not voting is the best option.
The Bridge is the nexus of the Imagined Order’s power. With danger around every corner and the facility under constant threat - trust nobody.

And do the other players need to either win by either completing small mini games, or reporting dead bodies/calling meetings to find the impostors?
No one is claiming all social deduction games copy among us, but epic literally took among us' formula nearly word for word from a 4 people dev team.
@Spartan Death #763 map creators don't get any direct profits from the game, and so they are pretty much just passion projects. and the player base for them is so small, they have next to no impact on among us.
Maps are mostly just created by one unpaid person, epic games are a multi million (potentially billion) dollar company that have dozens of people working for them.

Imposters mode was the highlight of Chapter 2, when they vaulted it for good it made me feel differently about the game. Imposters was crazy fun didn’t matter if it was morning or night it was always entertaining BRING IT BACK NOW EPIC.

Among Us isn't an original game itself. Games like Unfortunate Spacemen released in 2016 has very similar features to Among Us, but you don't see anyone crying about that

This feels like those movie trailers where the main villain/hero is mysterious, and the viewer is hooked
i think the reason why the ltm is canon is because slones must’ve dragged some loopers (us) into the base to hunt down the loopers (also us) who have become aware of their surroundings and break through the loop and disguise as agents to destroy the IO but fails all the time, even though it may seem like they won, slones was trying to get it under control while you were doing assignments

Every person in the loop is a snapshot of the imagined order. If you were to kill the original being the snapshot would delete , we've seen it happen with eight ball and his alter. In the ltm we are playing as the imagined order crew. The imposters are imagined crew members who, under the sevens order, need to send the imagined order members to another reality, which they do with the device at the end of the trailer( this device contains a worm hole, which you can very well see.) The device not only sends them to another reality,but keeps them part of this one. Meaning they are split into two realities.

People in this comment section are so cringe, no one owns the murder mystery genre, it’s been around for a long time now. Among Us didn’t come up with it but also ripped it off other games such aswell such as mafia etc.

Yeah. Even back when this mode first launched. How is it stealing. Sure its very similar to Among us in many ways. But at the same time, Among us didn't invent the Social Deduction Genre. So Epic can do thia Genre all they want. Could Epic have put a spin on it to make it stand out a little more. Of course its been unchanged since release. But should it have gotten the backlash from the day it launched. No it didn't deserve that. The mode is fine enough as a social Deduction game with Fortnite charm.
For Example. Proximity chat was a great thing that was added. But removed shortly after. I assume it was to prevent constant toxicity from other players and only relegating it to the discussion phase. Im still bummed they never brought back Proximity Chat for Imposters.
Impostors was not the Impostor.

Fortnite continues to prove it has no creativity whatsoever.
