- Fortnite Battle Royale ends Chapter 4 and Fortnite OG with The Big Bang event.
The Big Bang introduces new galaxies with the collapse of Fortnite OG. These new galaxies seen in the event are the introduction of new experiences found within Fortnite. Those experiences include:
LEGO Fortnite - Explore vast, open worlds where the magic of LEGO building and Fortnite collide in this new survival crafting game.
Rocket Racing - A new racing world where you reach supersonic speeds and face fierce competition for a top spot at the finish line.
Fortnite Festival - A new way to be enveloped in music both on and off the stage.

This was both underwhelming and absolutely mind blowing
Edit: I just realized that the only reason slone sent Jones was to not take something, but take away everyone’s memories by traveling back in time to when the REAL big bang occurred. That way Jones could have more knowledge of what to expect and protect the Zero Point even better that before. To support my theory, we literally see a sports reality be formed in front of our eyes. The plan was stupid, but it could work: 1. Jones must travel back in time to season X, but the machine was already calibrated to season 5, so that’s were we went. 2. The Time Machine must be calibrated to the beginning of time itself, then dropped into the Zero Point. With the Scientist help, Jones attached the machine to the rocket so it could be powered up. The Scientist then makes a device to activate the Time Machine without being near it. So Jones heads to a big outer island to watch and see if everything goes fine. But he realized he could change up the rocket and meteor into whatever he wants and gets distracted. So when the island gets sucked up he activated the device and travels back to the beginning of everything. He then spends time with some new people, snapshots, and the surviving loop escapists to build city’s and railways. Time flies, and Jones is used to his new life. However, a new group comes into play…

Mostly underwhelming. The rocket was epic, but sadly lasted just 1 minute. Then 8 minutes of boring nothing. Many say this event was a 10 minute Ad, and it basically was. Eminem "Live" was nothing compared to marshmallo, or other previous Lives. His rap was jibberish at best. How can this event feel worse than Fracture? Just, how? Yet, at the same time, from the trailer, Ch5 looks AMAZING! Seems 90% of time went into making ch5, 10% into this event, or less. Damn. Lego looks promising, as a nice niche mode, especially the creatures. But the racing mode seems like a random community made map. It might get better over time, too soon to tell. Event was half baked. Well, after this, I can honestly say, we will NEVER get a story/lore vent ever again, especially not something like the End event/Final Showdown. And perhaps, we will never get a resolution on the story (it takes too long): The Seven, The Nothing x Bytes, Shapeless man, Kado x time machine, IO, Last Reality x Cube Queen x Herald, Geno, The Unseen etc...

It's already the biggest mish-mash there ever was. There's more licensed characters and celeb skins than I could count.

I'm not kidding you. I cried so hard when listening to this. The nostalgia that came from this theme being played in such such a calm atmosphere on the piano like this. It's beautiful. It's painful to see the OG map leave us once again, but you know what, I'm so happy I was able to have such a fun time with the boys when I was 10 years old on this game. This part of the live event is the highlight for me. Fortnite is moving on and going other places. I am gone for good and have been for a while. Thank you, Fortnite, for providing a small part of my childhood to me.

Fun fact, this end event recreation was actually released exactly 10 years after analog tv in Sydney Australia shut off and the tv explosion into black is the same thing as the animation they used in 7 news shutoff. Boy epic really timed it 10 years later. This feels like they did it’s own analog shutoff

Some constructive feedback: the black hole part was cool. Awesome music. I liked how the squad kind of stayed together throughout cutscenes and stuff. Flying through the different maps was seamless and very cool. The Eminem part was underwhelming. I hope y'all go back to the style of the old events with things actually happening on the map we all play on. That's what made them so cool to begin with. It adds a sense of scale and it's so cool experiencing and witnessing things actually happening on the island.
That'll be for the events next chapter. This is a chapter finale so it's usually at a much bigger scale

As someone who started playing this game in season 1 and quit by season 7, all this stuff over the last 4 years has gone so far over my head, it’s honestly mind blowing how different it is

From my perspective, this event takes us inside the zero point. The sane place in the season X trailer. I think this dur to seeing the galaxies and, if you remember, in chapter 2 season 5, the zero point bloomed, VERY similar to the massive rxplosion after the black hole. Along with this, the strangs of light look very similar to the portals in the chapter 2 season 6 event. It makes sense because each of those lead to different realities. The reason why these strands get out is because the very point is cracked, therefore the strands can get through the crqcks.

For those who need help to understand the lore of Chapter 4 S4 and OG season:
Slone sent back Jones with Kado Thorne's stolen time machine to change something in the past, that's why this month we have been in the OG map.
But the original timeline has been changed by Jones in some ways(we don't know how but for example the Cattus was already free, the volcano never existed,...) and here is the important part: in the BIG BANG event, almost everything happened as the original end of Chapter 1(so yes the meteor with the help of the 7 hit the Zero Point creating the black hole etc etc) but with some changes caused before by Jones
SUMMING UP: Changing the past, Jones has overwritten everything that we know has happened since the start of CHAPTER 2 S1 till the end of CHAPTER 4 S4 , and in Chapter 5 we are going to see the new timeline created by the changes made by Jones in Chapter 1.
Hope the new creative director can relaunch a bit the storyline, bcs in this event there was almost nothing of it.

What an incredible event. Knocked this out of the PARK! everyone was involved, all the new game type reveals were WILD, and the LIP SYNCING to Eminem's faster rap section was actually bonkers levels of impressive.
1:44 in "the end" event, in the rocket there was only 4 lasers, now here, there's 8 lasers
when the og soundtrack hit on the black screen i got chills and felt sad realizing this game was here for everything. like since i was in 4th grade (when it came out) ive been playing this with my friends and today we saw the rocket again together. i never thought id get a second chance to feel that feeling. we’ve all grown up, were not kids anymore and at the end of the day we have the memories weve made together. love you boys♥️

Let me say why this event is amazing from a lore standpoint. Not only does this open up a whole set of opportunities, it shows us that basically every gamemode in the game has its own portal. This is amazing because it tells me that BR also has its own portal and it gets ABUSED. When the meteor collided with the zero point and was infused with the energy from the time machine it SLIGHTLY changed the events of the original The End. Instead of a black hole forming and basically sucking everything in. The overload of energy caused it to not create a black hole and it shot everything OUT. Giving us a look to what the true outside of the loop looks like.

I remember back then, I thought it was just like a normal live event. I didn't remember what it was. I just knew "The End" would be the end of the map.
Because of the pandemic, I was homeschooled and didn't really got a proper goodbye to my fellow classmates that I've knew since kindergarten. One of those few people introduced me to Fortnite. We all played during the early days of Fortnite (at 2020 I was 12 years old). With a hint of what it could mean, I forced myself to play Fortnite again and attend re-experience my childhood again (yes I started in c1s5). After playing for hours on end and with the new end event being announced, I visited EVERY location in the map.
Looking back after 3 months, they all came back to play Fortnite again because of the OG season. I finally had a proper send-off and goodbye to my childhood friends, memories, and game. Thank you Fortnite ❤
For people who are complaining about a missing storyline, here's a quick explanation.
The Time Machine on the Rocket was crucial for everything to come in place. Why, that is?
If you remember correctly, the Zero Point is connected to EVERY FICTIONAL UNIVERSE EVER. The OG "The End" was, in fact, the End. However, this one was the BIG BANG. The rebirth of the Multiverse as a whole. The different galaxies and their links explain this.
This is clearly the start of a new era for Fortnite and its story, and I can't wait to see what's in store.

This event was pretty good, but it just doesn’t even compare to the chills the chapter 2 finale event gave me. The visuals, the cinematics, the writing, and the hype when I saw The Rock!

Fortnites storyline is one of the worst storylines I have ever seen! Characters feel boring (except for Jonesy), storyline is made up all along and is a tool for product placement. And the writing is lazy, for example: Epic wrote themselves into a corner, so they use TIME TRAVEL, a very lazy excuse to develop the story.
I genuinely don't see a reason to cry. But hey, that's just me. Power to you!

At first I hated this event because the lore is lazy (And I still think that its lazy) but I fixed it with my head canon. The way I see this event is that thats what the Seven wanted to achieve back in Season X I mean after the event we found out that smth went wrong during the event so maybe we witnessed what would've happend if everything went alright.

This whole event was absolutely incredible! I enjoyed every second of it! The stunning visuals, the new gameplay mechanics, Lego, Rocket League Racing, And Eminem Too! And The Rhythm Games Too! All Of This Event Was Just Perfect! I Was In-Game For This Too, And That Really Helped The Excitement.
I liked the original End bit, the insane 3D fractal, and the bits where you'd interact with your squad. The rest felt like a big ad

That's why they threw down the OG season, & it's how they've broken their concurrent player record three times over the past month. For all the potential that this event had, I'd say it did just fine. Although it didn't give us much lore, it was an amazing glimpse of the game's future while still being a very thrilling experience.
Epic shouldn’t have overhyped it. I honestly really loved this event, but I notice many people say it was underwhelming. I think that’s because epic was saying stuff like “this is going to be the best event ever”

For someone who has experienced the season x event, the black hole part was very nostalgic. However I feel that the event lacked a lot, i love how they teased so much of whats to come!! Eminem was awesome to see, but only having 3 minuets of two songs of his was very underwhelming. A lot of the interactive things were just filler in my opinion. the skill checks when the meteor fell wasnt even necessary. You didnt even drive the cars in the racing segment, you just pressed buttons or keys. They couldve made this so much more interactive. i personally think they missed out on so many opportunities. We waited a whole year this. Overall it was fun but it was wayyy to short. Now I’m not hating on the event at all, I actually loved it! I was just surprised how it didn’t really have for us, Atleast story wise. We practically just had the season x event again and a trailer for three other gamemodes. I still loved the event however epic did an amazing job. No hate.

I think the event was amazing at the start with the remixed ‘end event’ from chapter 1. But then the rest just seamed to be a promotion/sneak peak at the 3 game modes that are coming to the game. Also it was a bit boring as you couldn’t do anything in the LEGO/rocket league scenes, instead you just watched. I hope they release a trailer explaining chapter 5, the story and the rest of the event.

IMO, the event was not bad but the end event recreation will be forever my favourite part. Legit brought tears to my eyes when seeing almost every part of the original event but the music getting a upgrade is so well made. I think the music was supposed to be in the original 2019 end event but they did a longer version but it was still amazing.
I’m not really an Eminem fan, but the Godzilla was definitely my favorite part of the event. I LOVED Astronomical and it was awesome to see them do something similar here.
I’m not saying they need to happen all the time, but getting some more concerts like these every once in a while (to keep them special) would be awesome.

Many of the haters don't have a clue about how much work is needed to produce these constant updates, skins, features, maps, events, etc. In my opinion, Epic is very similar to Rockstar Games in terms of quality and innovation. No, not anywhere close, Rockstar games will disable servers for a particular game they're updating, not their entire lineup and games they bought from other companies.

I’ve been playing this game for about 5 years now and I’ll never forget this game later on in life because this is the game that saved my gaming life because I was about to lose gaming until I found Fortnite and this game brought me back to gaming and it still holds a big spot in my heart and to know the memories to this game I want everyone to know that Fortnite will be here for us forever in our hearts

I love how they quite literally just erased the entire loot lake floating island during the island scene. Literally nothing came out of the whole "cube siphoning energy from the Zero Point" thing.
what would have made it more cinematic would have been when the rocket shoots straight into the zero point and makes all the player fly back, they should have made the rocket blast STRAIGHT through the island completely destroying it in the process

Please make more events like Chapter 3's collision. I was very invested in the story at the time, so seeing it all come together was great. Today's event felt like a bunch of ads back to back. There are many things that I think would've made it better. First of all, the beginning was cool, however, after seeing that fractal and being pulled into it, I expected something a little cooler than a Lego world. I was hoping that maybe The Foundation and Jonesy would return after jumping into the zero point at the end of c3s2, because Throughout chapter 4, we didn't see the zero point exposed up until the very end. This lead to me thinking that maybe they could return as this was the first time we saw the zero point exposed in, like, a year or so, and the last time we did was in chapter 3 after the collision event.

@@JeighNeitherI think it depends on if causing the big bang would lead to a repetition of chapter 3 events, because otherwise, if the island wasn't initially destroyed, there would be no chapter 4 map, or it'll be heavily altered. Just like how the OG map was due to altered events caused by Jonesy.

Love how the rocket event has subtle differences to the original like when they go around the meteor they start spinning the other way, the rocket having more lasers than usual and the music being off tune and time. it just felt different while still being the same thing
yeah, even next year when they bring back the map again they can still reuse the end event and make it a bit different
there is SO MUCH they can do with it, like maybe a full on plot twist at the end and it goes a different direction

To me Fortnite is not just a game, it’s something that built memories. It brought us together. Thank you Fortnite, you will always have a place in my heart
my hypothesis is that the first time that they hit the zero point they failed, that's why a new universe was created, then whem they had the chance to get back in time they use it to make it right with the energy and those object changing rocket into things wasn't random but a very specific sequence so now the zero point it's free from the imagine order and all those multiverses are now connected and accessible until geno gets back to try to get the zero point back
Since this is essentially a reboot for fortnite as a story and as a game moving into the future, that implies that fortnite og is some sort of cannon event that HAS to happen for everything else to be possible
