The transition from Chapter 2 Season 7 to this season was so well done! I know everyone wanted destroyed POIs but this season was good regardless. I love how the aliens were just setting us up for the real war.

I mena, Slone's plan was to crash the Mothership into the Island all along, and to use us as her disposable tools. That crashing the Mothership would automatically bring the Cubes down to the Island one way or another should'Ve been obvious... What abandoning her operatives on the exploding ship would accomplish made no sense. We're not carrying the Cubes in out pockets, after all! Saving us does not mean the Cubes get free. There's no link there. She always planned to abandon us. She probably fled to another dimension through a portal.
I gotta say i felt that season 6,7 and 8 were a trilogy on their own and this was the perfect ending for it.
Even though we got very little map changes at the beginning of the season it was really unique.
The idea of upgrading your weapons manually instead of going to an upgrade bench to upgrade with materials was a fresh start and the sideways weapons were really unique too.
This was also one of my favourite storyline seasons of the game because with the cube queen and all the cubes made it a really good season regardless of the battle pass which was a meh for me except for the secret skin (which is the cube queen).
This seasons live event was a really good one due to the map being 90% corrupted but i missed the island flipping because i got kicked out of the event😢😢😢😢.
Overall i would give this season a 8/10.

What’s a shim
This Season was so underrated, it had an amazing storyline, good battle pass and fun mechanics. The game was constantly getting updated with new weapons and items being added from the voting boards around the map, also the sideways monster zones were so fun to land in. It also started and ended with two of the best live events ever, definitely one of my top 3 seasons.

My most favored aspects of this Fortnite season's battle pass was Torin, Charlotte and the guest, Carnage. Season 7's ending was awesome and I hope this is a faithful continuation, I hope we get revenge on Dr. Slone and the Imagined Order, though.

Coming back now I just realized the chapter 2 season 7 mothership was a suicide mission so the cubes could land on the island.

In chapter 2 season 7, the aliens were going the opposite direction un armed as if they were trying to leave the ship, they failed to escape in time and died. in the battle pass trailer for cubed, the cube queen says "All you did was prepare it for us" meaning the ship was meant to be destroyed.

@@danobleson According to a person. Ghost and Shadow were made to distract the IO while Midas tries and escape the loop. Ghost and Shadow weren't really fighting each other, and Alter And Ego got bought by Midas.

I really hope that there are more mythic weapons and bosses, and vaults are back.
I mean by the looks of it there's alot of new guns, there was a robotic thing behind them in a certain scene not sure whatd it be though. It also seems zombie-like entities are being added. Having vaults back would be great but I'm unsure about that one! This season seems like it's going to be fun though.
(I think the storm looking machine gun would be a mythic along with the carnage weapon since I feel like itd be similar to the marvel mythics, or there'd be a new game mode that revolves around it which would be pretty cool none the less)
