What's different now than it was in the 1980s? Well, now we have a couple more indoctrinated generations than we had in the 80s. They tried it back then not realizing that the people still had a few of the values that made America great in them. As a young man I wanted to be a police officer even poked and passed the civil service exam. I'm so happy I never got hired the state of the county does not have your back. You could get in trouble doing your job. You're portrayed as a bad person in the society and the media and the pay is not worth losing your life over. What a shame my deepest condolences to the Man's family and I am so sad to see that little boy without a loving father and a good role model. Just because our politicians let out a career criminal over 20 times.

police should refuse to go into those politicians neighborhoods and around where they work.. simple as that. get the schedule, know where they are dining, and not patrol within a mile of the place. things will work their way out naturally.

This happens in our southeastern state. The criminals committing crimes..the news reports that that criminal is out on bond, has a long rap sheet, and cops are getting fed up with having to run all the paperwork to arrest them and they are back on the street the next day committing more crimes.. It's repeated crimes by the same ones over and over. It's disgusting. Then they seem to escape jail at least monthly here.

Actually it was more the 70s where courts were backed up and criminals were set back upon the streets to do further damage. Things began to change a little in the 80s. Nonetheless, as someone who once went into NYC daily, I now go there not at all.

If a parole board lets a prisoner out early and that prisoner commits a misdemeanor in the time of their probation, the prisoner goes back to complete their original sentence plus two years. If they commit a felony, they go back to complete their original sentence, then complete the sentece for the new felony plus 5 years, and the membets of the parole board will serve two years and lose their rights permanently.
