    • @wingedbuffalo4670
      @wingedbuffalo4670 개월 전

      The FEARFUL, COWARDLY, and GUTLESS NBC brass will no doubt "spin" it (in an attempt to mollify their rebellious, immature, arrogant employees who refuse to respect their own limitations as subordinate workers, NOT CEOs in charge) as a situation that "they simply didn't realize ..."
      But here's a thought to consider: Maybe, just MAYBE (???) NBC management and the CEOs actually WERE fully "informed," HAD BEEN "WATCH[ING] their own product" as you say, and RECOGNIZED HOW TERRIBLY OUT-OF-BALANCE NBC "news" coverage (and other media coverage) had become over the past several decades ... and they REALIZED HOW IMPROPER, DANGEROUS to a Free Society, and UNACCEPTABLE it was for a supposed "news" organization like NBC -- that is supposed to report COMPLETE FACTS WITHOUT POLITICIZED PARTIALITY -- to have fallen so far off the rails as it had/has. So perhaps the "adults" in charge actually made an AFFIRMATIVE decision to TRY to pull NBC News back at least a smidgen towards the center from the EXTREME FAR LEFT place it occupies on the political spectrum. Moreover, It's not as if the OCCASIONAL appearance by a CENTRIST Republican like McDaniel was going to "hurt" anybody or even appreciably "dilute" the FAR-LEFT character of NBC that was sure to remain. Yet none of that reasonable behavior would ever be acceptable to the INTOLERANT (and therefore hypocritical) LEFTIST babies. Like all good little Bolsheviks, they demand MARXIST PURITY of thought and propaganda, and WILL NOT ABIDE even a singular voice of dissent from the "COMMUNIST PARTY LINE" ... so they unleashed a hissy fit of fury, and the so-called "adults" supposedly in charge capitulated to the baby brats.

      But, Robert Mueller had already said in his report, "The Russian government interfered in the 2016 presidential election in a sweeping and systematic fashion." ~ Mueller Report, Page 1, Volume 1
      And then Mueller said, "If we had confidence that the president did not commit a crime, we would have said so."
      And then a Congressman asked Mueller, "Would you charge the president after he left office?"
      Mueller said, "Yes".

    Seriously: Why would NBC not consult current employees (the ones who would be in peer roles) before hiring Ronna? At my workplace, every professional position is filled by a search committee of stakeholders who would be working with that person regularly. You would never be in a situation where employees only find out about a new co-worker after they've been hired.

    • @wingedbuffalo4670
      @wingedbuffalo4670 개월 전

      Hi @nychellebrewer ... You ask "WHY" NBC wouldn't "consult" their current employees before making a hiding decision. Are you serious ??? If NBC is a responsible company, there are MULTIPLE REASONS:
      1. In a free-market capitalist world, the employees DON'T "run the show;" their job is to perform the job functions they are told to do by their bosses and supervisors ... and in turn, they receive rather handsome paychecks! The ground floor workers do NOT "run the company," make programming decisions, "get a vote" or dictate who gets hired or fired!
      2. Although some SMALL companies/businesses, etc. who fancy themselves "Progressive" and/or who can operate like a folksy family-run business may have the luxury of seeking all employees' input and buy-in to all or most decisions, such a collaborative model is simply IMPOSSIBLY UNWEILDY for a huge corporation such as NBC; the company would die of paralysis if employees were consulted on something so basis as hiring/firing decisions (or any other large managerial decisions)
      3. As Abe Lincoln wisely said: "You can please all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time; but you can NEVER please ALL of the people ALL of the time." Stated alternatively, if you allow rank-and-file employees a "vote" over such decisions, you will most assuredly almost NEVER secure unanimous decisions. And once you travel down that path, WHERE does the company draw the decision line (e.g., simple majority preference? 60% majority? 75%? 90% consensus, etc.???) ... and do you insist upon that "standard" constantly for all "votes"/decisions, or do you cherry-pick a sliding scale of "standards" inorder to attain the desired end result? And IF you SELECTIVELY fail to maintain the decisional so-called "standard" as a constant, do you open the corporation up to never-ending lawsuits for unlawful and/or unfair discriminatory hiring practices? Do you have the "right" to gobble up the investors' "profit shares" by placing the corporation at risk for constant lawsuits? (Remember, UNLESS the lawsuit is completely spurious and obviously brought in bad faith on its face, it is HIGHLY UNLIKELY that the defendant NBC -- even if it eventually "wins" the lawsuit -- would be able to recover the attorney/legal fees it expended to defend itself from a legitimate/good faith lawsuit that merely failed to carry the day in the end. ALL of those operating costs and legal expenses undermine/reduce/eliminate shareholder profits too ... and, like it or not, NBC has a HIGHER FIDUCIARY DUTY to its stockholders/investors than it does to its mere employees !!!!!)
      4. Competition within a compressed timeline. Sometimes, decisions -- especially hiring and firing decisions -- MUST be made very quickly due to many differnt factors. IF a company either needs or merely "wants" to secure the talents/services of a particular targeted employee and they perceive that candidate has multiple job offers/options, the company DOES NOT HAVE the luxury of TIME to dilly-dally or wait to take a poll/"vote" of its employees before potentially LOSING OUT on making the hire before another (more efficiently run) employer "beats them to the punch." And in the "particular" case of NBC and McDanial, it DOES NOT MATTER how many offers she had or didn't have [it's doubtful her agent told NBC she had no other news network offers {and we don;t even necessarily know such was the case}] -- and/or even if the offer(s) may have spanned across different industries. You simply can't do business that way and constantly allow yourself to "get scooped" by the competition in such a fast-paced, highly competitive environment.
      The above are just a few reasons which readily come to mind; I'm sure there are others.

      That’s mighty elitist of you. Republicans love to pretend they’re for the little guy and the middle class while giving tax breaks to millionaires because they’re too stupid to vote for their own best interests. “The people below the bosses are making all the rules, how dare the employees of the company have any say about their working conditions!”

    According to Jason Chaffetz, it is bad for NBC to Kick out Ronna Romney McDaniel, but it is good for Don the Con to kick out Ronna Romney McDaniel as the Chair of RNC...!!! LMAO... The Hypocrisy cannot be more obvious.
