Where did you go?
Maybe we (the viewers) have outstayed our welcome. Are we just too much of an intrusion and they've decided to operate in a cosier, more private setting?
You'd think that, as a public broadcaster, they'd at least make an announcement. Can't even be bothered to do that, it would seem.
Disappointing. Illuminating, possibly.
In my country, we have the BBC, which also has something of an asylum-run-by-the-inmates feel to it. They operate mainly to justify their own existence - and their astronomic, government-enforced funding. Their main target audience seems to be the politicians. The viewers / listeners are a mere cypher - providing a notional, populist statistic with which to shake down the politicians for money.
But that's a whole, 'nother rant!
