I'm in grad school to become a librarian, and also have over a decade working as a staff member in an academic library - this video had me in tears for how beautiful it can be when communities support it's citizens by providing access. For me, being a librarian is all about serving others.
♥ The potential is truly staggering in rural communities. ♥
This is the video the Music industry needs to see, the internet killed the book and the library and they didnt sue, they adapted, which if anyone in the the top of the music industry had a brain then thats what they would do. you have to adapt with people, technology, and time. Thats the way the world works, people dont like buying cd's anymore, find a better way!
Great 👍
On my job search and resume work, "Everybody's Equal" two of the most frustrating words I heard while watching and waiting on a computer as a homeless man was looking at girly pictures. I hope things have changed.
I figure you for a glass is half empty sort of person. Am I right?
Half empty? Half full? I was raised by a reasoner. In this case I was boggled. Here I had work to do while he was looking at porn.
😊 👍 tnx.
They don't -need- Internet. They live near the ocean and the exposed beauty more than makes up for their lack. Of course, how will they share the beautiful pictures/video w/o Internet.
One of these libraries in the video was built using seed money from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. And now their contribution has come full circle. Amazing.
