Nature and wildlife sounds from the African savanna

- This is a sound recording I made in South Africa two years ago. I had woken up at 3 am and went out to catch the dawn chorus. After a short drive I split from the group and walked by myself for about an hour.
This spot I found was quiet and peaceful, just perfect for recording. I dropped my rig and walked around for a bit, bumped into a giraffe and a warthog and took a few landscape photos. I also spotted a distant Eagle Owl, which can be heard softly in the recording.
Every time I listen to this I'm transported back to that spot. Sit back, relax and try to imagine what it felt like to be there. Enjoying these videos? Feel free to support me by:

Out of all the results for "Savannah Ambience," this one stands out. The rest just don't have the same atmosphere.
Thanks very much for the kind words, Mason.
Now, this is what I call good ambience.
Thank you, couldn't agree more.
This is one of my favorite ambiance sounds! Perfect for practicing on instruments or listening to music! Thanks for making this! And the story in the description was pretty cool!
You're very welcome!
Perfect cacophony of sounds before going to bed. Amazing!
Enjoy!
Brings back so many wonderful memories of birdwatching in Rwanda and TZ!
Glad to hear that, enjoy!
This has fixed me in so many way thank you sooo much !! I only wake up twice now in the night (as opposed to 10) 😘🐆
Glad it helped!
Great sounds , great scene
I miss Africa and the farm.
I'm writing a novel about the Great War in East Africa, and this makes immersive writing ambience.
Good to hear that. This soundscape should be even more appropriate though: krplus.net/bidio/g7iOd4mTp36zhmU

Yes it does.

My pleasure!
I was reading Lion King fanfics and needed something to match other than my rooms white noise. This is great ambiance!
Glad to hear that!
Love it, did some data analysis work while listening to these savannah sounds. Good for my focus level :)
Great to hear, wish I had more non-audio work to do so I could listen to soundscapes :D
Playing this sound for my cat :)

Rooooooooooar
So beautiful. Where in South Africa and why were you walking ?
This was in Limpopo province. I was there attending a sound art workshop and one of my tasks was to immerse myself into the land- and soundscape.
@George Vlad that sounds so cool!! May I ask what the name is the school / course? Thank you x
@@Leopard_Lover the workshop is called Sonic Mmabolela and runs once a year: www.franciscolopez.net/field.html
0-0 In minute 34, i heard faintly Hey Mickey (the song) in the background XD
Nothing wrong with that :)
It's wonderful to think that these sounds are pretty much the same sounds that surrounded our ancestors, Homo Sapiens, when they split from the other Homo species and learned to walk and hunt bipedally 4 million years ago.
Some of that information is probably encoded in our genetic material.
Finnaly one that doesn’t sound like it’s has nothin but wind sounds
Nothing wrong with wind sounds, but in this part of Africa the soundscape is much richer.
There is no way I would wake up at 3 am in the middle of the jungle , took a short drive, split from the group and then walk 1 hour.
Haha, some things seem sensible in the moment and only later it becomes obvious that they weren’t 😬
This is Meditation
Indeed it is.
ay wheres ma boi arplanet999???
can i use this video for educational purposes? thanks and more power!
You're welcome to link to it if that helps.
may I use the BG?
@@maamchaeyrelleguedocheires5684 nope, sorry. Feel free to embed the video if you want.
It sound like rain forest
A little bit, yes.
Is this really african plains sound or of rainforest somewhere else@@GeorgeVlad
It’s genuine African bushveld from Limpopo province.
@@GeorgeVlad there are no big trees nearby but so much bird chirping sounds my doubt is do birds rest on bushes too?
that bird in the distant background singing Ko Kroo Ko Krooo 1:15 reming me so much of home. anyone knows the name of the bird?
Not sure, I can't hear anything like that at 1.15.
If the melodic clear whistled tune, I think you're meaning the white browed scrub robin. They have many different calls, I found this exact one on xeno canto for the area.
@@sparra3819 thank you, it's been a while since I visited the area so I'm forgetting some of these species.
I think that is Tekukur bird Indonesia languange
Sounds like The Lion King
Yep, that's the classic African savanna sound.
XD
No Zebra?
No Zebra for you.
Mark me present, 2023
You got it.
