@@godspeed6486 If you go to Sapnap's channel, you will find a video that the 3 of them made where Dream and Sapnap uses a texture pack or shade that gives them George's color blindness and so just seeing him be happy and see all these new colors is just the world to them. Seeing their friend happy is a beautiful thing.

Colorblindness-correcting glasses will not change color perception for people whose deficiency is caused by a complete absence of red or green photoreceptors. And the positive effects of the glasses last only as long as they are being worn. The glasses don't in any way modify a person's photoreceptors, optic nerves or visual cortex to fix colorblindness.
"Color perception requires a complete set of optimally functioning equipment, and glasses will not replace or repair missing or broken mechanisms," says Dr. Schwab.

Basically, the glasses aren't doing anything. They're just tinted glasses. There isn't any special science that allows people to see color.
@@chanteee129 it’s just a tint, it might help you tell apart some colors by simply making them darker, but that’s useless in the real world, where you don’t know beforehand how bright each object is. George isn’t seeing any new colors, he’s just pretending.

These glasses are a proven scam and I dont see the sponsorship tag anywhere even though you were sent them for free to make a video by Enchroma, or one of the other scam companies. On Enchromas website in their own promotional material, you can see the wrong colour written on balloons so that a child can remember to say the wrong word before putting on the glasses. Things like this literlly provide false hope to people with actual medical issues and I think that's pretty weird and creepy tbh.
They can help people with red-green colourblindness distinguish between colours more easily and may allow them to see shades of purple.
So if money is no object, it's still an interesting product.

I always love coming back and watching this video. It's so cool, happy, and wholesome! I genuinely always get so pumped for George when I go back and watch it.

But sadly this should be evidence that the glasses don't really work. How can someone recognize or identify colors when they have no previous frame of reference? The glasses will alter contrast, and there is some science to this, but them claiming to correct colorblindness is a cruel lie when they know better. The pink tint should be a clue.
you not seeing probably has more to do with the colour accuracy of your display, that's why for a proper colour blindness test you need to do it with high quality prints or do an in person test

I'd really like to know what kind of super advanced glasses he got, because my god, it seems none of them work for real according to other people's accounts.
The glasses are not for them to see exactly the colors that we see, they are used to make them a little more similar to the ones we see, but obviously they are not identical, George is just seeing the colors a little darker .

For anyone wondering, the reason George gets used to the colors over time and not immediately is because his eyes are still adjusting and his brain is slowly rewiring. Also, he still isn't able to see like us 100% but he's able to tell colors apart much better now, and might actually be seeing new colors for the first time. It's awfully exciting to see him happy over this though.
Not to forget that he lived like that for 23 years
You seem to know what you're talking about have a question for you if hr really is color blind how is the he color blind to every color and not just red and Orange and yellow he seems to also be color blind to blue and purple. Genuinely curious bc idk much about this
Finally someone explained it
Nise85 red and blue look like red and blue because of the way our colour receptors interpret different wave lengths. Someone with abnormal colour receptors is called colour blind, so rather than just having an inability to see certain colours, people who are colour blind may also have trouble distinguishing different colours, and are sometimes even able to make distinctions a typical person can’t. I’d be less vague but I’m not familiar with the specifics, so if you want a better explanation you’ll probably have to search for it.

Guys quick thing colorblind glasses dont actually cure blindness they just make more vibrant colors more vibrant and less vibrant colors less vibrant to some extent it still looks relatively the same it just lets him see a couple colors he couldnt before
A lens in front of your eye cannot make you see colours you couldn’t already; that has long been known. The idea behind these lenses is that they’re supposed to make similar colours more distinguishable to colour-blind people, but ultimately, they just make colour vision more restricted and the effectiveness of separating colours widely ranges between people.
As for people claiming this guy is faking it, with all the hype and pseudo-science surrounding the glasses, it’s entirely possible he’s been ‘gaslighted’ into believing they work. It’s mind tricks.
