오들이 입장에서 사냥은 생존이고 필수였는데
따숩고 편한 집에서 밥이 따박따박 나오니
사냥은 쉬고 몸편히 있고싶은 걸 수도..

확실한건 정말정말 편안해하고 손길에 익숙해져가는게 눈에 보여요 !!! 시간은 쬐끔 걸리더라도 .. 메주님 말씀처럼 스트릿 생활로 쌓인 인간에 대한 경계심이 있을뿐 마음 연 순간 그 누구보다 순딩이일거 같아요

저희 셋째두 길에서 데려온지 두달되니 겨우 놀더라구요 ㅎ..ㅎ 오드뤼에게 아직 시간이 더 필요한것 같아요 집사님들 화이팅 !

길에있다 집냥이된 아이들보니 한달이나 몇달까지도 쿨쿨자더라구요 길에서는 쪽잠잔다고 푹못자서 편한집에서 몰아서 잔다고 하더라구요 그리고 저희 마당냥이를 봐도 새나 벌레잡아서 그런지 왠만한거는 시시해보이는지 ㅜ 어쩌다 한번 저랑 놀아주더라구요 오들이도 푹쉬고 나서 조금씩 좋아 하는걸 찾아줘도 좋을 거같아요(아니면 이제 밥을 구하거나 하지 않아도 되니 걍 쉬는것도 나쁘다 생각하는 지도ㅎㅎ집사님 덕분에 평생휴가찬스 얻은 오들이씨 )

street cats don't really play since they need all of their energy to search for food and hunt so there's a possibility that Audrey will never understand playing with toys. But there's a lot of other options to keep her active and the cat tree and scratching posts are a good start. 😄

Mejoo, Audrey has progressed and adjusted quickly. There is a stray cat I've been feeding inside our house for 2 years and it took me 1 year to touch her without scaring her away. You're doing a great job, keep it up!

Audrey has made so much progress so quickly! Perhaps you can get a toy that has treats inside it that she can work on at night? Or throw a treat to see if she will chase it? It seems she is very food motivated. Thank you for continuing to work hard with her! We can see that she gets more comfortable every week!

While Audrey is eating Churu, you should pet her this way she is associating your touch with something positive!

저희 애도 길냥이었는데 얘는 처음 오자마자 적응 잘한듯 싶었는데 그게 척이었더라구요.생존방법이었나봐요.처음엔 비빌 데가 저뿐이었는지 제 옆에 꼭 붙어 자더니 이제 집이 익숙해지고 자기 공간이라고 생각하니 그 다음에는 식탁밑 스크래처에서만 자고 거기서 잘안나왔어요. 간식줄때 놀아줄때 빼고는 잘 안오더라구요.2-3개월 지나고나서야 저한테 의지하는 느낌을 받기 시작했고 9개월쯤 같이 사니까 그 다음에야 제 침대에서 같이 잤어요.그때 이제서야 마음을 완전히 열었구나 했는데 같이 산지 2년이 된 지금도 더 친해지고 있는 기분이 들어요,지금도 저랑 아주 잘지내고 순둥하게 케어도 잘받아서 더 친해질게 없다고 생각했는데 아주 조금씩 또 달라지는거같아요. 서서히 친해지면서 면봉휴요 키울때와는 다른 종류의 기쁨을 느끼실수 있을거예요 :) 하지만 기본적으로 여자애들은 남자애들보다는 더 예민하고 까탈스러운건 어쩔수 없는것 같습니다ㅎㅎ 응원합니다!

오드리는 항상 화가 나있찌ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 🤣 (뭔가 이제는 살짝 츤데레 기질이 되어가는듯ㅎㅎ 짜증은 나지만 좋아해줄께ㅎㅎㅎ 이러는거같아요)

You cannot judge a feral stray the same as your indoor cats who are tame and only know the reality of humans and being indoors. I took in a feral rescue in 2018 and he just started sitting in my lap unprompted this year. He’s an Alpha cat and they’re totally different from regular cats. They’re harder to acclimate to human lead environments. Audrey’s behavior is just like his. But like my cat her temperament is excellent. She’s progressing nicely. If anything she’s probably ready to be adopted or maybe live with someone who can foster her for a bit, but has no other pets in the home. Or a home big enough to keep her in her own room and ease her into socializing with the other cats. I only have 1 cat, so didn’t have to worry about it. But years ago I took in my sisters cat who was not socialized. I kept her separate from my 2 cats for 6 mos, then allowed her to come and go, but she still had her own safe space to retreat to if she wanted. I kept that for another 6 mos, then removed it and she was fully integrated and socialized with my cats. Keeping them separated and giving her a safe space was key as she wanted to fight my cats, but it was due to fear. Making sure she had a safe space she was comfortable venturing out when she was ready. ♥️

Try hand feeding her as much as possible. You can even wrap her in a towel and hand feed her while she is on your lap. I've seen Flatbush Cats do it and it tames even the most spicy cats.

Yoji still looks good in that cute dress, especially for a little Prince!

The fact that she is eating readily off your finger is HUGE 🥳 Petting her while feeding her from you hand is also a big step to do positive reinforcement with your touch.

I think she wasn't able to relax and sleep soundly before because she was so afraid and nervous but now she has let her guard down and is able to sleep with a relaxed mind.
I think the reason she doesn't respond to toys is because she was a feral cat. Feral cats are already used to surviving on their hunting skills. They have hunted real birds and rodents so it's not easy to engage them with a toy. She will start playing once she comes out of her shell. Maybe you can get her a treat puzzle for cats since she likes hunting for treats.

She is much more relaxed.

With the two abandoned cats I take care of (give food, water) they didn’t feel comfortable with different toys but I left them with a couple of balls, nothing for two weeks and now they’re their favorite things. Just a couple of balls, nothing interactive. Hope Audrey plays soon

관심없고 ㅜㅜ 유튜브 쥐 (고양이 유튜브) 영상이나 펫마트에서 사은품으로 받은 쥐인형 던져주면 좋아하더라구요..?
그래서 제가 온라인에서 쥐모양 장난감을 샀는데 모양은 비슷하지만 원래 쓰던거랑 색이나 깃이 달라서 안쓰던... ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 완전 까탈쟁이에요... ㅜㅜㅜ
결국엔 단골 펫마트에 말씀드렸더니 파는건 아닌데 몇개 챙겨주셔서 그것 갖고 놀고🤣🤣🤣( 그마저도 요즘은 또 싫증내네요.. ㅋㅋㅋㅋ )
저희집애는 장난감에 별 반응이 없는 대신 집사랑 숨바꼭질하는걸 좋아하더라구요~^^ 숨으면 찾으러오고.. 부르면 막 뛰어오고
오들이도 시간 지나서 경계심이 사라지면 메주.쁘지님과 즐거운 놀이경험 많이 할 수 있을거에요😍

치즈냥이라 친해지면 완전 애교쩔듯요..그래도 점점 맘 열어주고 있으니 좀 기달려줘야할듯 하네요 ㅎㅎ 오늘도 잘 봤어용

since Audrey likes treat hunting, definitely try some puzzle toys/treat toys. She might learn about toys being fun on their own, but she's still in a street mindset, where she wants to keep most of her energy for looking for food. At least she is comfortable sleeping soundly when you are nearby. She at least knows that you and Soo won't hurt her, she just doesn't fully trust yet.
Maybe try the cat phone apps (with the spiders?), because you can at least leave it next to her in her closet spot and see via the room camera if she has any interest. Also if you do manage to get her playing with any toy, give her treats! It will help her see playing as positive! And it would seem more like hunting to her, because on the streets, she had to hunt first to get food. So, playing and then getting food would help her realize that playing is hunting (but she always get food in the end, no failed hunts anymore!).

Audrey perplexed me. She's resisting being a house cat. I would love to see her interact with another cat. I feel she wants her freedom and under the right circumstances she may become and in/ outdoor cat.
