If you saw The whole video you may have noticed that she was sad about many things and also she said that she wanted to live a short life. So in this comment no one is judging or making fun of that.
Amudo lol trust me people who have low gpas probably have bigger reasons for that; doing an undergrad in university is pretty straightforward, put in effort and you'll see the results you worked for; things like mental health and other personal issues can severely deter a student from doing so

Honestly I'm a guy and I've never seen a guy who actually puts thought into what he wears, and that guy clearly did, mostly girls wear something different each time you see them so I thought it was pretty normal
Vinayaka, girls tend to wear a variety of clothing as that’s our nature however I was pointing out the amount of different concepts she was able to put together in such a short video. Generally females have a set style. A theme. An aesthetic. So it just amazed me to see her clothings variety.

In winter people look like packs of penguins moving around because they're wearing the same popular long padding while some wear coats that make them look like those brown teenage penguins. In the summer, everyone just wears adidas or nike shoes/slippers and wears ridiculously bright (neon green or blue) or ugly (eg. poop brown) colored t-shirts. There is no 'individual fashion' in Korea. Most of us are quite hive-minded and these two are rare exceptions.

우누 말씀이 좀 지나치신 것 같아요... 저는 우울증 환자는 아니고 정식 상담사 교육 과정 밟고 있는 사람입니다.. 우울증이라고 해서 바로 죽고 싶다 이런 게 아니라 증상은 다양해요. 혹시 여성분과 비슷한 생각을 가지신 분들이 보고 상처받을까봐 조금만 유하게 말씀해달라고 댓글 단건데 말씀이 너무 과하시네요... 그리고 저 말 하나만 가지고는 찐따같다는 비하 발언을 받을 만한 사람이라고는 볼 수 없어요. 물론 그런 비하를 받아도 되는 사람도 없구요. 제가 우누님께 정중하게 댓글 다는 것도 비슷한 맥락이구요. 저는 환자들을 많이 봐왔고 또 환자가 아니더라도 힘드신 분들을 많이 봐왔기 때문에 우누님 같은 분들을 보면 마음이 참 아프네요. 생각이 다르다고 해서 남에게 상처를 굳이 줄 필요는 없는 것 같아요.

There is a lot of pressure on girls in Eastern countries to get married young. Once a women hits a certain age they are considered less desirable.. that’s probably why she feels that way.. she is thinking that if nothing changes for her then she it isn’t worth it because “older women can’t find happiness and love”. I think it’s a culture thing. Korea is still very sexist in its culture although it has improved by miles within the last decade or so. But you can still tell with the difference in answers just how society can bring you down

I related a lot to this girl, so I was surprised the comments were so kind. Outwardly I try to keep myself together from fear of dragging others down. homegirl needs new friends if the most frequent thing they call her is dumb :( that would put a dent in anyone's self-confidence after hearing it over and over
it's a pretty common joke for friends / family to call each other " dumb " although, not as harshly. for example, " i knew you were dumb, but not that dumb !!! " i would never say anything like that to my american friends, but me and my korean friends joke around like this a lot. it doesn't necessarily mean " dumb " , but it's has a similar meaning, it's more lighthearted though . . . sorry if this came off as rude though, i don't mean it like that !!!

I understand what you mean and you weren't rude at all :) but I still feel like, even with a more lighthearted tone/meaning, frequently hearing comments like that could make someone start to think that they really are dumb, and that could make them spiral with negative thoughts if they already have a negative perception of their self
I think it's mistranslated, because in Korean 맹하다 means kind of zoned out/spaced out (and "dumb" in that sense), which usually doesn't have any negative tone behind it, unlike "dumb"
Hearing that your dumb and ugly by the people closest to you becomes less of a joke the more it goes on. I got that for a few years before I broke down over it. It took me a long time to actually realise that I am not bad looking at all, and that I am actually smart when I try. Be careful with running jokes.
Oh girl...She's definitely depressed and suicidal. She wants to live until she's 38 and is 60% happy with herself? That one answer seemed like a cry for help, I hope it's not the case. As someone who is suicidal, I would answer it similarly except I think she increased the percentages from the truth just so she doesn't come off badly.

They seem like they would work out really well as friends but nothing more than that, you can tell that the guy was kinda turned off when he found out that she smokes and that her gpa was around 1.0. While he seems more like the studious type with a very clear future goal she seems like someone who loves to live in the moment, so in the long run i dont think they'll work out. I also think the girl needs someone who is more emotive and can actually understand her deep thoughts. They both seem like really sweet people though.

Daramiya I do know in korean 4 is the highest I don’t know if they have a lowest. In my school a girl who had a 1.0 met with an academic counselor. They didn’t kick her out but they asked if she’s sure she’s studying the right subject bc college in America is very expensive so if you’re paying all that and have a 1.0 you’re wasting a lot of money.
