Is it possible to commit a more heinous act? No. I know what it is like to lose a child. A heart ache that never completely goes away. I feel so bad for the parents of these young lives as well as the trauma and bewilderment these young people had to experience and live with. Just awful. I didn't think this would get to me but when the dad said his little love was flying with the angels that was what made me cry. It's unimaginable what the kids went through and what the families are going through now

As an elementary educator it breaks my heart seeing so many innocent life’s. Especially in a time of year that everyone is celebrating the end of their school year and moving on to the next grade level and all just in a matter of seconds taken away. Now instead of celebrating the beginning of summer now families n students n educators will be mourning. So sad n devastating

This is sad and unfortunate. I'm wondering how these shooters are even able to enter the buildings. In Virginia the schools are locked and there are sheriff's in the school on standby during school hours. I have to ring a bell and be buzzed in just to get through the first set of doors with a valid excuse. Once I have proven my identity by scanning my drivers license which then prints out a visitors sticker , I can then be escorted to my destination by said sheriff.

Same here! I can’t remember never not having to be buzzed in. In northern VA there’s an SRO in every school. Sometimes 2 officers at any given time.

Good thing we didn't have any armed security at the school or teachers with a CCW, those kids could have been even more scared AND alive so they would have been scared for even longer.
Sadly the Wild West had stronger gun laws. We are too lax. There are too many loopholes. Hell, we have real guns made for kids. It scares me how many people value the "right: to kill over the right to live.

Nothing about his life, his plans, his mental stability etc. The recognition is what they crave. They want to be remembered forever. Only speak of the victims and never about the demon committing the crimes. Removing guns from law abiding citizens only makes easier targets for psychos. There is over 20k gun laws in America. Laws only apply to those that follow them. Murder is illegal already, but that doesn't stop anyone determined to murder people.
