It's funny how everyone thinks about potatoes and Ireland as one because of their history. But potatoes are actually native from south America, the Andean region specifically (Colombia, Peru, Ecuador..), and we consume it like everyday in many forms 😊
The same could be said about tomatoes being associated with Italian food. They, too, are native to the Americas and relatively recent in Italian cuisine. Chilies, eggplant, avocados, and corn are also things that originated in the Americas.

As a Sudanese I think this has been the first time I’ve seen them eat Sudanese food unless I missed previous times. Rhett guessed correctly, yes!!

@@annaratliff4638 If your family likes fish/shellfish/shrimp, you might look into ceviche. The citrus "cooks" the protein without heat. For safety, use frozen that you've defrosted. Fresh, you'll want to do some homework.

maybe they had to do some research for the show, the writers said "Wikipedia, yo we gotta go" online to check the data of cuisine from Granada see if Peanut Butter is a staple on the table.
As a Filipino viewer, I would have to say that the typical Kare Kare served in households here serve Bagoong (a fermented shrimp or fish paste that is very salty) on the side and typically do not mix it into the main dish itself mostly because it will spoil in a matter of hours if done so. You can use Filipino fish sauce (which is a bit more salty than some other varieties like Thai and Indonesian) and mix it into the dish but it's not as typical from where I'm from in the Philippines. Also, it is typically eaten with steamed rice.

I think they should switch this game up. Make a giant dart globe that constantly, slowly spins. This way it is more accurate and when Link hit near South America, he would've technically still been pretty close to the phillipines instead of immediately screwed. It would make it more interesting and tight in my opinion.

As an ecuadorian, I freaking love Llapingacho. It encapsulates perfectly everything that makes Ecuador's cuisine so tasty.
I had the honor and pleasure of visiting Ecuador in 2003 (I'm old 😭). I still remember the ají, ceviche, fish, fruit, and hearty meals. The breakfasts were divine.
When we (university group) were in Cuenca, a restaurant improvised Ecuadorian pizza for us because we were getting homesick. 😁
